BetterLFG TBC

BetterLFG is a quality of life filter addon for the Classic Looking For Group tool. It gives you control over which listings you see without changing the underlying LFG system. Whether you are looking for specific classes, roles, level ranges, or group setups, BetterLFG helps cut the noise and focus on the listings that actually matter.

What it does

• Adds a dedicated Filters window styled to match the Blizzard LFG UI
• Lets you filter listings directly inside the existing Blizzard Group Finder
• Supports class, role, level, and group composition filtering
• Works with the Blizzard LFG tool and does not replace the base UI

Features

Top-Level Filters

• Hide groups and Groups only toggles for quick browsing control
• Min LvL and Max LvL filters for overall listing level range
• Min size filter to only show groups above a chosen total member count
• Minimum role requirements for Tanks, Healers, and DPS

Class and Role Filters

• Per-row filtering for class and role combinations
• Each row supports:
  • Min level
  • Max level
  • Include / Exclude toggle through the row checkbox state

Use this to:

• Include only the class/role combinations you want to see
• Exclude specific class/role combinations from results
• Set custom level ranges for specific rows

Group Composition Filters

• Filter based on the makeup of the group itself
• Require minimum numbers of Tanks, Healers, or DPS
• Filter by total group size
• Use include / exclude logic to control which class and role setups are allowed

Why use BetterLFG?

The default LFG tool works, but it does not give much control over what appears in the list. BetterLFG adds that missing control without replacing the Blizzard interface.

It is useful if you want to:

• Find groups with specific class or role setups
• Avoid unwanted compositions
• Hide listings outside your preferred level range
• Only show groups with enough players already formed
• Reduce clutter and browse faster

• Filters only affect what you see
• This addon does not automate invites or modify Blizzard matchmaking behavior
• It is a filtering addon only
• Built for Classic / Anniversary style Group Finder usage
