Betterbee-0.10.0.zip
What's new
Features
Added Skyriding > Charges Bar, enabled by default with Default (Blizz Style) and Essentials width matching. Filled segments show available charges while on a Skyriding mount. Choose Default for Blizzard textures or Modern for an EllesmereUI-inspired flat look that works without EllesmereUI installed. Adjust Width and Height in Betterbee settings, or drag the preview in Blizzard Edit Mode and click it for size controls. Changes are saved immediately. Restart WoW to load the new addon file if needed, then use
/reloadfor later updates.Added Gear > Arrow Position with Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, and Bottom Right choices. Bottom Left is the default. Changes apply immediately and are saved; turn upgrade arrows on to use the dropdown.
Charges Bar now has Colour > Default / Class and an Outline thickness control in Betterbee settings and its Edit Mode panel. Default uses the selected style's colour; Class uses your character's class colour. Outline is adjustable in Modern style; it defaults to 1px, and 0 hides it. Changes apply immediately and are saved.
Added Match Cooldown Manager Essentials Width below Charges Bar's Width slider in Betterbee settings and Edit Mode. Turn it on to follow Essentials resizing and scale changes; Width is then disabled, while Modern's Height remains adjustable. Turning it off restores your manual width. If Essentials is unavailable, the saved width is used until it becomes available.
Charges Bar now shows the next charge recharging with a gradual, dimmer fill. A recovered charge becomes fully filled when available.
Added a separate bar labelled Preview inside Skyriding settings. It follows your style, colour, dimensions, outline and Essentials width matching, showing sample filled/recharging segments even while unmounted or disabled. Wider bars scale to fit the panel. Hovering the section or sidebar no longer reveals the gameplay bar.
While the Charges Bar is selected in Edit Mode, use the arrow keys to move it one pixel at a time. Positions save immediately. Arrow keys work normally after deselecting or leaving Edit Mode, and while typing or dragging.
Added Skyriding > Show Second Wind Charges, off by default. Enable it to show a purple-to-orange charge bar to the left in the same style and height. It shows Second Wind charges and recharge separately, moves with the main bar, and appears in the settings preview. The small bar and gap fit within the total Width, including Essentials matching; they do not make the group wider. Use
/reloadafter updating.Added Ratio Size under Show Second Wind Charges in Betterbee settings and Edit Mode. Choose Equal Segments for automatic sizing or Custom to show the Ratio slider and choose how much of the usable combined width Second Wind receives. These controls are disabled when Second Wind is off. Existing custom ratios are preserved; changes are saved and appear immediately in the preview. Use
/reloadafter updating.
Improvements
Opening raid history now selects your current raid session, including between pulls or during its first pull. You can still choose another session while the window is open.
Raid Group now fills the available list height and sorts by player name or item level. Sessions scrolls instead of paging and its heading sorts by date; All Sessions stays pinned above a divider.
Raid Group shows role icons beside each player, including every role they played during the session. Click the Sessions heading to sort by date; the separate Date heading has been removed.
Raid Group orders players by tank, healer, then damage, and alphabetically within each role. Players with multiple roles use their first role in that order; unknown roles appear last. Item-level sorting remains available.
Upgrade arrows now sit fully inside the chosen corner of each gear icon, with a small inset from both edges. The default position is Bottom Left.
Gear arrows preload bag items and refresh when bags open, so recognized bag buttons show their arrows without needing a mouseover.
Charges Bar uses Blizzard's standard Edit Mode highlight and selected artwork. Click or drag the bar to select it; closing its panel or selecting another Blizzard element clears the selection.
Charges Bar gets the total number of segments from the game, including in Edit Mode. It supports larger future charge totals and keeps all segments within the chosen width. If the game has not supplied a total yet, the preview stays empty until that information is available.
Modern Charges Bar's Outline setting sets the same thickness for its outer outline and divider lines. Set it to 0 to hide both completely.
Default Charges Bar uses modern Blizzard castbar frame and background artwork. Outline is disabled for this style; switching back to Modern restores your saved thickness.
Renamed Charges Bar's default style to Default (Blizz Style) and added Blizzard's native castbar fill, recharge spark/glow and charge-recovery spell effects. It matches the standard castbar height; Height and Outline are disabled. Modern keeps your saved adjustable height and thickness.
Charges Bar now starts enabled with Default (Blizz Style) and Match Cooldown Manager Essentials Width enabled. Existing saved on/off, style and width-matching choices are kept.
By default, all segments across Second Wind and the main Skyriding bar now have the same width. Each bar automatically takes its share of the total width based on its charge count, with a three-unit visible gap. Essentials matching and the settings preview use the same layout. Use
/reloadafter updating.Second Wind now uses a purple-to-orange gradient inspired by its spell icon. Colours continue across segments and follow recharge progress in both bar styles. Main bar colour choices do not change Second Wind colours.
Bug Fixes
Upgrade arrows now find gear in custom bag windows through shared item information. Arrows appear above item artwork and skin overlays, follow the visible icon in list rows, and refresh when buttons are reused. No separate integration is required for each bag addon. Use
/reloadafter updating.Armour upgrade arrows now require the same armour type as equipped in that slot or your class's best equippable armour type. Empty armour slots use your class's best type. Cloaks, jewellery, trinkets, and weapon comparisons are unaffected. Use
/reloadafter updating.Bag and equipped gear now compare their actual current item levels. Older or scaled items can have misleading levels in their item links; these no longer override the levels of owned items. Pending item levels wait for loaded data. Use
/reloadafter updating.Weapons now require a higher item level than the gear in the hand slot they would replace, regardless of weapon type. An empty hand compares against the other equipped hand, preventing low-level bag weapons from getting arrows just because the alternate hand is empty. A higher weapon upgrade track alone no longer qualifies. Use
/reloadafter updating.Exiting Edit Mode now returns Charges Bar to its normal display, including when closing, pressing Escape or discarding unsaved Blizzard layout changes. The edit highlight and size panel close, and the bar stops intercepting clicks. Use
/reloadafter updating.Setting Modern Charges Bar Outline to 0 now removes the remaining outer stroke as well as dividers. Higher values give the outer border and dividers the same exact thickness.
Restored Default (Blizz Style)'s fixed castbar height. Its fills now clip to the outside corners and sit beneath the shared frame, including while recharging, matching Essentials width and in the settings preview. Modern keeps its independent height setting.
Fixed missing fill at the start of Default (Blizz Style). Its frame and background now keep naturally shaped end caps as Width changes, stretching only the center. This also applies to Essentials width matching and the settings preview.
Default (Blizz Style) recharge glow now starts at the beginning of its segment and follows the filled portion. The spark sits one pixel lower and further left to align with the effect, including in the settings preview and at different UI scales.
Fixed the squashed or stretched ends of the Second Wind bar in Default (Blizz Style). Its frame and background keep naturally shaped ends and stretch only the centre, including in the settings preview. Use
/reloadafter updating.Skyriding settings labels now align to a consistent left edge in BB settings and Edit Mode. Dropdowns and slider rows share a consistent right edge, with matching slider widths and right-aligned numeric values.
Known Bugs
- Upgrade-track comparisons currently recognize English track names. Other client languages still get item-level comparisons. Gear buttons with entirely private item information cannot be identified from their image alone; hovering a button that uses the standard bag tooltip can supply its item information.
Maintenance
- Added WoW 12.1.5 to the supported game versions while retaining 12.1.0. Version 0.10.0 includes the accumulated changes since 0.9.5. This compatibility declaration does not change gameplay; in-game checks are still needed. Use
/reloadafter updating, or restart WoW if the new features do not load.
