Changelog
[v0.24.0], 2026-05-14
This is a major update focused on usability and quality of life.
What's New
Per-character profiles, your category settings and custom names are now saved per profile. Switch characters, swap specs, or set up a completely different layout for an alt, everything stays separate. Profiles can be created, copied, renamed, and deleted from the new Profiles tab in the options panel. Your existing settings are automatically migrated with no action needed.
Rename categories directly from your bag, Alt+Left-click any category header in your bags to instantly open the rename dialog for that category. No more digging through the options panel to find the right expansion and category.
Category renaming, click the pencil icon next to any category in the options panel to give it a custom name and color. Type a 6-character hex code and see a live preview swatch update as you type. Leave the name blank to revert to the default.
Left-click shortcut, right-clicking your BetterBags bag frame now shows an AIO Categories option under a new Plugins section. One click to open the options panel from anywhere.
Search tab, type any term in the new Search tab to find categories across all expansions instantly. Results are grouped by expansion, world events split by specific event name (e.g. Love is in the Air, Brewfest), and you can toggle or rename categories directly from the results without leaving the search view.
Item ID in Tooltip, a new toggle in Settings lets you display the item ID at the bottom of any bag or equipped item's tooltip. Shown as a gold label with a white number. Off by default, handy for tracking down missing items or reporting issues.
What's New popup redesigned, the popup is larger, better spaced, and easier to read. Bullet points are double-spaced, body text is softer grey instead of harsh white, and divider lines are more visible.
Options Panel Improvements
- Each expansion now has a short description at the top of its panel so you know at a glance what's in it.
- The Bulk Actions area now shows how many categories are currently enabled (e.g. "97 / 98 categories enabled"), with a warning in red when everything is disabled.
- Added a Reset to Defaults button per expansion, re-enables all categories in just that section, with a confirmation prompt.
- Added CurseForge and Discord buttons to the About tab.
- Cleaned up the About tab, removed the "work in progress" notice and old Tips section.
- Tab order updated: About → Search → Profiles → Settings.
- The Settings tab is now organized into two groups, Display (toggles) and Manage (action buttons), for a cleaner layout.
- The Restore Defaults button has been renamed to Enable All Categories to better describe what it does.
- Added a Factory Reset button, re-enables all categories, clears all custom renames, resets every setting to its default, and reloads the UI.
Performance
This update includes significant under-the-hood improvements that make the addon feel faster and smoother, especially on login and when opening the bank:
- Faster startup with less stutter during the initial item scan.
- Smoother index loading on startup.
- Enable All / Disable All is now faster, one refresh at the end instead of one per category.
- Bank scans are more efficient with lower memory usage.
