Besace
Besace is a bag replacement addon for World of Warcraft. It merges your backpack and all your bags into a single window, then sorts and groups your items the way you want: one big bag, or tidy sections such as Equipment, Consumables, Trade Goods, Quest items and Junk. Sorting is purely visual — your items never move inside your real bags — so everything keeps working in combat.
It also remembers your bank and the inventories of all your characters, so you can check what you own from anywhere.
> Works on World of Warcraft Forever, Retail and the Classic versions (Era, TBC Anniversary, > Mists of Pandaria). Interface available in English and French.
Features
One window, your layout
- Two layouts: a single big bag, or collapsible sections by category that you can reorder or hide.
- Special bags (quiver, ammo pouch, soul bag, keyring, reagent bag) get their own section and free-slot counter, so a quiver slot is never counted as room for a sword.
- Empty slots grouped into one counter, shown inline, or hidden.
- Two themes: a sleek dark one, or the copper-and-wood "Forever" theme.
- Adjustable columns, icon size, spacing and scale; the window scrolls when it gets tall.
Categories with your own rules
- Built-in categories for gear, consumables, trade goods, recipes, quest items, containers, keys and junk.
- In-game rule editor: build your own categories with AND / OR / NOT conditions on quality, item level, required level, item type, equipment slot, binding, sell price and more, with a live count of matching items.
- Drag an item onto a section header to always keep it in that section.
- Share your rules with export / import strings.
Sorting and search
- Multi-criteria sorting: value, item level, quality, name, type, equipment slot, stack size, new items… ascending or descending, with presets, and an optional different sort for each section.
- Advanced search that dims everything else: plain words for names, or
q:epic,ilvl>200,lvl<=60,cat:junk,new,bound,-potion… - New items glow until you have seen them; the N button marks them all as seen without closing the bag.
Bank and alts
- Bank view: its own window next to the bag; live at the banker, offline anywhere else.
- Alt counts in tooltips: every item tooltip shows how many your other characters own (bags and bank).
- Browse another character's bags and bank, read only.
- Gold and currencies of all your characters in one table (ALT button), account-wide currencies listed once.
Money and merchants
- Currency bar at the bottom of the bag: your gold plus the currencies you choose (+ button).
- Sell junk in one click at any merchant, including items your own rules classify as junk, with a confirmation showing the total value.
- Auctionator (optional): sort and filter by auction house value.
- Tidy up for real: optionally run the game's own bag sort.
Getting started
- Install the addon and log in: pressing B (or clicking a bag) opens Besace instead of the default bags.
- Use the header buttons to search, mark new items as seen (N), change the sort or switch layout; the cog opens the options.
- Right-click a section header for its menu (section sort, move up/down, hide).
- Type /besace to open the options (appearance, sorting, categories and rules, currencies, profiles).
Commands: /besace (options) · /besace toggle (open / close the bag).

> Fonctionne sur World of Warcraft Forever, Retail et les versions Classic (Era, TBC Anniversary, > Mists of Pandaria).
q:epique,ilvl>200,cat:camelote,nouveau,-potion…
