Description
Battlefield Info
I built this addon for me, because I've for 20 years thought the BattlefieldMap could be so much more. I've been having so much fun and have just kept adding to it. I figured maybe someone else would enjoy it too!
Most of the features in this addon work independent of the others, so you can definitly pick and choose, and really customize it to your own liking.
BattlefieldInfo expands on the map you can keep open at all times (shift+M). It adds quests, townsfolk, rares, gathering nodes, lets you size, zoom and style it. Assign a keybind to fold it out into a big-sized map. It has cave-mode, dungeon-mode, town-mode, city-mode, clearview mode, minimap replacement-mode. It also includes a customizeable tracker, quest log, and more. They all work pretty seamlessly together.
Quests: QuestieDB's questgivers, turn-ins and objective spots, plus the game's own objectives and quest areas(Forever).
Quest tracker and quest window:
A tracker, sorted by distance, level or area, and a full window beside the map with description, objectives and rewards. With customization.
Towns and cities:
Townsfolk, clutter managed by settings you choose. It prioritizes and combines them. Also context profiles remember what you want visible depending on in youre in a town, city or open world.
A town view zooms in when you arrive; a city view shows a whole capital.
Dungeons and caves:
Map switches to cave-mode in caves and dungeons, showing either cave-art or minimap-style, with player arrow ofc. Dungeon's own map while you're inside aswell.
Rares and treasures (with RareScanner), gathering nodes (with GatherMate2) and TomTom waypoints.
Exploration:
Unexplored areas shown in fog, sepia or ink, area names as you hover, and how much of a zone you've seen.
The map itself
Resize it, move it, zoom it in and out, and switch to a large mode for a proper look around.
Close-up detail when you zoom in near, or have close-up detail at any zoom if you wish.
Continent View
Zoom out and you get a seamless continent view with customizable amount of detail relative to zoom level.
Clearview mode: show only the zone youre in, outside zones are hidden. (in 1.1 version, posting when review is done)
Minimap replacement: Docks the map as a full minimap replacement, keep all features of the addon.
Context profiles: different settings for in combat, battlegrounds, dungeons, caves, cities, open world. The addon knows whats up and remembers what you last wanted visible in the relevant context.
Every pin has its own switch, opacity and size, and a row of toggle buttons on the map that you pick, order, and place wherever.
Saved setups: keep several complete setups and switch between them; each character can use its own(THIS NEEDS FURTHER WORK, I NEGLECT IT lol)
Key bindings!!
Fonts and textures from SharedMedia are picked up if you have it.(Maybe.. some! Hopefully! wip)
Works with
All optional; the map works without them:
QuestieDB or Questie: quest givers, turn-ins and objective spots (needed for these pins)
RareScanner: rares and treasures
GatherMate2: gathering nodes
TomTom: waypoints(WIP)
SharedMedia: more fonts and textures(WIP)
Coming next version: Premade layouts and settings. I know the settings are... expansive.. and would like to make it simpler for people to choose from a number of presets, and guide abit.
Improvements to dungeon-view.
Also general polish, oh god the polish.
