Basic Bags 2

This is an extended version of Basic Bags with more features.

Basic Bags 2 is a lightweight, non-intrusive inventory replacement addon designed explicitly for World of Warcraft: Forever.

It merges all of your standard inventory bags into a single, unified grid while keeping your specialty containers, consumables, and gear set configurations cleanly organized on separate, dedicated shelves. Completely unhooked from the default interface layout, it gives you absolute screen placement freedom with seamless keybinding integration.

🌟 Version 2 Features

• Split Consumables Bar: Isolates your food, drinks, combat potions, elixirs, and scrolls onto a dual-justified row. Your food and drinks line up on the left under "Pantry", combat buffs line up on the right under "Consumables".
• Background Autostack Compressor: Runs a silent background cleaning engine whenever your inventory updates [1.14]. If you split a stack or loot individual items, the addon automatically pairs and merges partial stacks back to their maximum limit behind the scenes, ensuring hidden bag slots are never wasted [1.14].
• Profession Tools Visibility Toggle: Adds a "Show Tools" options checkbox right at the top of the menu bar. Unchecking it runs a pattern sweep that completely conceals your Mining Picks, Blacksmith Hammers, Skinning Knives, Flint & Tinder, and Enchanting Rods from your main grid view, shielding your essential tools from accidental vendor sales.
• Cross-Character Wallet Ledger: Automatically records and aggregates gold totals across every character on your account. Hovering over your currency panel opens a tooltip list of your cached characters—sorted by realm, highlighted with their official class colors, and summed up with an accurate, real-time Total Account Wealth grand total.
• Bank Snapshot frame/viewer: Strictly a read-only local viewer for the logged-in character; does not interact with or replace the live banker container framework.
• Search function: Search Bags and Bank snapshot viewer.

✨ Core Features

• Unified Inventory Grid: Combines your backpack and all normal bags into a clean, easy-to-read, 10-column layout.
• Adaptive Specialty Storage: Automatically detects and isolates specialized profession containers (Quivers, Ammo Pouches, Soul Bags, Herbalism, Mining, Enchanting, etc.), grouping them neatly on a separate bottom shelf labeled "Supply Storage".
• Dynamic Gear Set Partitioning: Automatically strips un-equipped equipment sets out of your main grid and organizes them onto their own dedicated shelves at the bottom of the canvas. Includes a centered [ Gear Sets: Show/Hide ] button to completely collapse the shelves and save screen space.
• Instant Mail & Trade Locking: Items placed into a Mail attachment slot or Trade window desaturate and grey out to give clear visual feedback.
• Spinning Item Cooldown Timers: Hearthstones, health potions, and engineering gadgets display their native, spinning clock winding overlay animations cleanly.
• UI Freedom: Drag, place, and lock your inventory window anywhere on your screen. Your custom position and menu toggle choices are perfectly saved across gameplay sessions, character reloads, and logouts.

💻 Slash Commands

• /bb or /basicbags — Toggles the inventory window open or closed.
• /bb sort — Triggers an automatic bag sort.
• /bb lock — Locks the window position on your screen.
• /bb unlock — Unlocks the window so it can be dragged again.
• /bb wallet — Prints a diagnostic directory log to your chat box displaying every cached character key and their exact copper balance values stored.
• `/bb bank toggles the snapshot frame
• `/bb bankinfo outputs structural container ID and slot count diagnostics.
• /bb delete [CharacterName] — Purges a character from your cross-character account ledger summary (Requires case-sensitive exact matching spelling, e.g., /bb delete Bob.

Only First names are implemented for the currency ledger and delete ledger function, implementing First Last names in a future release.
