Bartender4 Profile Share

Bartender4 Profile Share is a lightweight companion addon that lets you export a complete Bartender4 profile as a shareable text string and import it on another character, account, computer, or supported version of World of Warcraft.

Share your carefully configured action-bar layout with friends—or keep the same setup everywhere—without manually copying SavedVariables files.

Features

• Export complete Bartender4 layouts and settings as shareable text.

• Import shared settings as a new, uniquely named profile.

• Share profiles across Retail and supported Classic clients.

• Preserve all existing Bartender4 profiles; imports never overwrite them.

• Copy generated strings from a protected, read-only field.

• Validate share strings before importing.

• Open through Bartender4's options or with /bt4share.

How to use

Exporting

1. Select the Bartender4 profile you want to share.

2. Open Profile Share, or enter /bt4share.

3. Choose whether to include Bartender key bindings.

4. Click Generate share string.

5. Copy the generated text and send or save it.

Importing

1. Open Profile Share.

2. Paste the complete share string.

3. Enter a name for the new profile.

4. Choose whether to apply included key bindings.

5. Click Import as new profile.

The imported settings are saved as a separate Bartender4 profile and activated automatically.

Cross-version sharing

Profile sharing has been tested between:

• World of Warcraft Retail

• Classic Era

• Burning Crusade Classic

• Mists of Pandaria Classic

For the closest possible layout match, use the same screen resolution and UI Scale setting on both clients. Different values can change the apparent size and position of imported bars.

Settings for bars or features that are unavailable in the receiving version of WoW will have no active effect there.

What is included?

Profile exports include Bartender4 settings such as bar positions, sizes, scale, rows, spacing, visibility, paging, appearance, and enabled modules.

Action bar, pet bar, and stance bar key bindings can optionally be included.

What is not included?

Spells, items, toys, mounts, and macros placed in action slots are managed by World of Warcraft and are not included.

The addon shares your Bartender4 layout and settings, but it does not place abilities or items on the receiving character's action bars.

Requirements

Bartender4 must be installed and enabled. Bartender4 Profile Share loads after it automatically and does not modify or replace any Bartender4 files.
