Whispers get buried in General and Trade. BakrChat gives them their own window that works like a messaging app on your phone: every conversation in one place, saved between sessions, with alerts so you never miss one. ## Features **Messenger-style window** - Conversation list with class-colored names, last-message previews, and unread counts - Chat bubbles: yours on the right, theirs on the left, with timestamps and "Today" / "Yesterday" dividers - Clickable item, spell, and player links in messages - Shift-click items straight into the message box - Invite to group with one click - Resizable and movable, close with Esc **Saved history** - Up to 500 messages per person, kept across sessions and reloads - Works with WoW Forever's first-and-last-name characters **New-message alerts** - A popup beside the minimap that you can drag anywhere; click it to open the chat - Whisper sound plays on the Master channel, so you hear it with sound effects muted - Taskbar flash when the game is in the background - Unread count on the minimap button - No popups in combat: you get one summary when the fight ends **Start a chat with anyone** - "+ New" suggests names as you type, pulling from recent chats, your group, friends, and guild - Remembers players you've seen in chat, targeted, or passed by over the last 7 days - "Search online" looks up any player on the server ## Commands | Command | What it does | |---|---| | `/bchat` | Open or close the window | | `/bchat sound` | Toggle the alert sound | | `/bchat toast` | Toggle the popup | | `/bchat flash` | Toggle the taskbar flash | | `/bchat hidechat` | Keep whispers out of the default chat window | | `/bchat move` | Show a test popup so you can drag it into place | | `/bchat minimap` | Show or hide the minimap button | | `/bchat reset` | Reset window, popup, and button positions | **Minimap button:** left-click to open, right-click to start a new message, drag to move it around the minimap. ## Notes - Battle.net whispers aren't supported yet. - The online search returns at most 50 names, so typing more of the name gives better results.
