What's new

BaB Assignments Changelog

Google Sheet template for Import / Export: Make your own copy

0.1.1

Fixed

  • Pressing Escape while casting no longer gives an error (ADDON_ACTION_FORBIDDEN ... SpellStopCasting()), and stops your cast again as it should.

0.1.0

New

  • BaB Assignments - raid assignments for <Blind and Behind>, laid out like the Dungeon Journal and built from the guild's assignment sheet. Open it with /baba or the minimap button.
    • Hyjal Summit (13 bosses) and the Barrow Deeps (8 bosses), each with a General page. Each boss has its picture in a circle at the top of its page (placeholders for now).
    • Pick a page from the dropdown on its title (each boss with its picture and how many assignments you have there), or turn pages with the arrows beside it. The page uses the whole window.
    • Each section is a card, spread across the window in two or three columns as it allows. The IMPORTANT box and Your assignments run across the top, the positioning map across the bottom.
  • Everything from the assignment sheet, with pickers for players, raid marks, curses, debuffs and CC:
    • General page - the night's jobs: healing (1st and 2nd priority), curses, debuffs, soulstones, crowd control, decurse and dispels, and important trash (mark, targets, tanked by, notes).
    • Boss pages - kept simple: an IMPORTANT box everyone sees first, kill order by raid mark, tanking (Main Tank, Off Tank, Off Tank 2), healing priorities, notes, the positioning map and positioning notes.
    • Notes for everyone, tanks, healers or DPS, on every page. Write , and the rest to show raid marks.
    • Imported from the sheet, each boss's dispels go onto the General page (once each) and its interrupts become a line in that boss's notes.
    • Healers can be given Main Tank or Off Tank (matched to whoever is tanking on that boss), a raid group (Group 1 to 8: their heal targets window shows everyone in it) or Raid.
    • Narrow a page down to what everyone, tanks, healers or DPS see.
  • Auto-fill writes a first draft of the whole raid in one click, from your roster and your group (no setup needed in a raid group). It only fills empty sections:
    • Boss pages: the kill order, tanks on the boss and adds, and a healer on each tank with the rest on the raid groups.
    • General page: warlocks' curses and soulstones, debuffs (Sunder Armor, Faerie Fire, Hunter's Mark, Judgements...) and dispels.
  • Editing is just Auto-fill, More and Done. More has the rest:
    • Copy a section to every boss (kill order, tanking, healing, notes, the map or positioning notes).
    • Clear this page (or delete an extra page).
    • Wipe the whole raid (that team's plan). Undo brings it back.
  • When editing, each section sits in its own coloured box. Press Enter in the last box of a row to start the next one.
  • Names never show anything from a - on (no realm names).
  • Names match the closest player in your group. The sheet only has first names: Zhal means Zhalox, Bulwrak means Bulwark, Zubb means Zübb. Capitals and accents don't matter, the start of a name (4 letters or more) is enough, and a slip of the keyboard still finds them. Short names don't stretch: Cry isn't Cryptide. Assignments show the player's own name, in their class colour. (On your own, only your own name counts as you.)
  • Roles shows which roster name is you, if it isn't your own name.
  • Roles fill themselves in. Add my group puts everyone on the roster with a guess at their role (the game's, else their class) and remembers their class.
  • Resizable windows. Drag the bottom right corner of the journal, the map, the import window or your assignments window. They remember their size. The map's tools wrap onto more rows in a narrow window.
  • Your assignments window, the heal targets window and following the raid leader's page are under Options at the bottom of the journal.
  • Positioning maps, like raidplan: a map of the boss room on every page. Place raid marks, tanks, healers, melee and ranged, the boss and players, write labels, and draw lines, arrows and areas in six colours. Move drags anything; right-click takes it off. Pick a grid, a round or square room, or the game's map of where you're standing as the background. Edit it in the journal or in a bigger window; raiders open it from the journal or the Map button on their assignments window.
  • Import and export. Import in the journal takes assignments as text: paste them, press Check to see what's in them, then Import into Team A or Team B. Each page in the text replaces that page; Undo brings your plan back. Export writes your plan as text to copy to another officer.
    • From the Google Sheet: add the BaB Assignments script to the sheet once (Extensions > Apps Script). Then BaB Assignments > Export this tab for the addon turns a raid tab into text to paste. It reads the raid comp's roster (names, roles and classes; anyone OUT is left off), healing, curses, debuffs, soulstones, CC and every boss block. Healers with nobody to heal yet, and empty boss blocks, are left out.
  • Your assignments window. A small window in boxes: the boss's IMPORTANT box, its kill order, You (your assignments, who's healing you, and under All night your curse, debuff, soulstone, CC and dispels) and the notes for you. It turns to the right page when you enter the raid, target a boss or pull it, or when the raid leader shows the raid a page. Use the arrows to turn it yourself; click it to open the journal. Turn it on or off with /baba me.
  • Heal targets window for healers: your 1st and 2nd priority targets with their health. Click one to target them. Turn it on or off with /baba heal.
  • Officers write the assignments. Press Edit on any page. Officers each keep their own plan for every raid, and can hand it to the raid leader with Send to raid leader.
  • Team A and Team B. Each raid has a plan per team, like the sheet's [A] and [B] tabs: switch between them with the team tabs. The raid leader picks which team's plan the raid gets with Send Team A / Send Team B, and from then on that team's changes go out as they're made. Raiders see which team's plan they have.
  • Only the raid leader's assignments go to the raid. They're sent as the raid leader changes them, and when someone joins the group. Officers can switch between their own plan and the raid leader's, and copy the raid leader's to change it.
  • Roles shows the saved roster, grouped into Tanks, Healers, DPS and No role. Each line has the player's class, whether they're in your group (a green or grey dot) and their role. It goes out with the assignments.
    • Officers swap a role with the role button on each line (pick Tank, Healer, DPS or none), and take someone off with the X.
    • Add a name, Add my group, or use More: add BaB Forever's raid comp, guess roles again for your group, take off everyone not in your group, or clear the whole roster. Undo (in More) brings the roster back. Raiders who aren't on it can pick their own role with /baba role tank (healer, dps).
  • Test mode. Press Test mode in the journal (or /baba test) to try it all in a pretend 20-player raid with example Hyjal Summit assignments. You lead it first: edit, try both teams, and send one. Press it again to see the result as a raider, and again to stop. Nothing is sent, and your own assignments aren't touched.
  • Works on its own. With BaB Forever installed it uses BaB Forever's officer ranks and raid comp, and its clicks join BaB Forever's minimap button.
