What's new

Changelog

4.1.2

  • Native Tracker Viewer support status

    • Blizzard native docking remains available at order 2, but is now explicitly experimental because WoW 12.1's shared Objective Tracker and World Map execution can retain AWP taint and later report protected-action or secret-value errors.
    • Native docking may stop working entirely after a future WoW patch and may be removed from AWP in favor of Kaliel's Tracker-only docking. Kaliel's Tracker is the recommended tracker viewer and is selected automatically whenever it is installed and loaded.
    • Tracker Viewer settings, help, and /awp status now report the active tracker viewer and its support status.
    • Added a startup warning when Tracker Viewer attaches to Blizzard's native tracker. Okay, remind me later repeats it next login/reload, Don't remind me again disables it account-wide, and the Tracker Viewer settings can restore it.
  • Blizzard quest tracker taint cleanup and mitigation

    • Removed the Scenario aura/cooldown replacement shims completely. AWP no longer replaces ShouldShowMawBuffs or ScenarioSpellButtonMixin.UpdateCooldown.
    • Retained the two narrow risk reductions that tested cleanly: AWP stays at order 2 without assigning Blizzard's hasDisplayPriority field, and guide refreshes no longer force a redundant synchronous full-tracker update.
    • Retained the Blizzard-only combat proxy for tracked Quest and Campaign Quest headers. It reports that the action is unavailable in combat and leaves Blizzard's normal click behavior untouched outside combat.
  • Known Blizzard native quest tracker limitation

    • Clicking a native tracked quest out of combat can still transfer AWP taint into reusable WorldMapFrame.mapID and mapArtID state. A later map open during combat may report SetPassThroughButtons or SetPropagateMouseClicks even though the keybind for world map still opens the map.
    • The combat proxy mitigates the tracker-click path only while combat-locked, it does not make Blizzard native docking taint-free. No map-pin, quest-handler, World Map, or Blizzard container functions are patched.
