Azeroth Futures is a market simulation and trading-terminal addon built specifically for World of Warcraft: Forever. It uses real Auction House commodity data to calculate the Azeroth Commodity Index (AZQ), then turns that data into a live, tradable paper market with candlestick charts, technical indicators, positions, limit orders, trade history, research tools, and peer-to-peer market synchronization.

AZQ is not randomly generated. Its movement is derived from actual Auction House prices across multiple raw-material sectors including Mining, Herbalism, Enchanting, Cloth, Leather, Food/Fishing, and Specialty materials. The index uses depth-aware pricing and additional protections designed to reduce the impact of one-off listings, thin markets, and extreme price anomalies.

Every player begins with 100,000 EC, Azeroth Futures' simulated trading currency. EC has no connection to WoW gold, real money, or Blizzard systems. Trading is entirely simulated and exists only inside Azeroth Futures.

Azeroth Futures is currently being developed specifically around the World of Warcraft: Forever economy.

Markets are separated by:

Region + Ruleset + Faction

For example, US PvP Horde and US PvP Alliance are treated as separate AZQ markets because their Auction House economies are separate.

A Market Powered by Players

When your Auction House is open, Azeroth Futures can scan supported commodities and contribute observations to the local market.

Other Azeroth Futures users can receive shared market information without needing to personally remain at the Auction House. The long-term goal is a distributed market network where multiple players contribute to a common, validated AZQ feed for their Forever market.

The addon also contains research tools for studying liquidity, Auction House depth, component stability, and price behavior over longer periods.

Trading

Azeroth Futures includes a complete simulated trading account.

Go long when you believe AZQ will rise, short when you believe it will fall, place working limit orders, scale into positions, track average entry price, and review completed trades directly on the chart.

Completed trades can be displayed as dotted Trade Trails between their entry and exit candles, with green trails for profitable trades and red trails for losing trades.

No WoW gold is exchanged and no real-world financial trading occurs.

Future Development

Azeroth Futures is actively being developed. Planned systems include authoritative market hosting, expanded peer networking, verified seasonal leaderboards, additional chart intervals, improved market analytics, sector information, and broader long-term market-history tools.

Because the addon is still under active development, the AZQ index methodology, networking protocol, UI, and trading systems may change as more Forever Auction House research is collected.
