Description
Avoidable Tracker
Avoidable Tracker is a small addon that shows avoidable damage taken, interrupts, and deaths in one place.
It uses Blizzard’s own avoidable damage data from C_DamageMeter, so the numbers should match what the Blizzard UI shows. The addon does not try to guess, recalculate, or use its own spell list.
If Blizzard reports it, the addon can report it.
What it Tracks
Avoidable Tracker currently tracks:
-
Avoidable damage taken
-
Interrupts
-
Deaths
The point is to make it easier to see what is going wrong in a group without having to jump between different windows or addons.
Reports
The addon can post reports automatically:
-
When combat ends
-
After a boss fight
-
At the end of a dungeon / run
Reports can be sent to:
-
Party
-
Raid
-
Instance
-
Self
Self is mostly there for testing, unless you just enjoy quietly judging yourself, which is fair.
Settings
You can choose:
-
Where reports are sent
-
Which report triggers are enabled
-
Whether the addon stays quiet or posts to the group
The addon is meant to give useful summaries, not spam chat every time someone stands in something spicy.
Why I Made It
I wanted a simple way to see avoidable damage, interrupts, and deaths together.
Details and other addons already do a ton of things, but I wanted something focused that uses Blizzard’s own avoidable damage numbers instead of maintaining a separate list of spells.
What It Does Not Do
Avoidable Tracker does not add its own avoidable damage logic.
I am not planning to add custom spell lists, override Blizzard’s numbers, or do anything that would make the addon disagree with Blizzard’s avoidable damage window.
The whole point is that the numbers come from Blizzard.
Things I Haven’t Figured Out Yet
-
Live avoidable damage reporting during combat
-
Tracking how many avoidable mechanics were successfully avoided
Possible Future Stuff
Maybe a custom UI at some point.
Right now this does not seem that necessary since Blizzard already has an Avoidable Damage window, and addons like Details already have plenty of display options. But if people actually want it, I may look at it later.
Status
This is a brand new addon and the first public release.
It is still being worked on, so feedback is welcome.
