v1.2.1
Devourer Demon Hunter is in. Forty specs now. Its guide existed all along; the scraper simply never had it in its list.
The window is split into sections, in a row beneath the spec pickers:
- Gear - the best-in-slot table, as before
- Trinkets - the full trinket tier list, S down to F, with the guides' own Raid / Mythic+ / Delves / Crafting filters as toggles
- Gems & Enchants - enchants, gems and embellishments, each its own table
Embellishments. Pulled from all forty guides. A crafted piece that is an embellishment is labelled in the gear table; the rest get their own table.
Enchants are checked against what you are wearing. Green means the enchant is on the best-in-slot piece for that slot. Yellow means you have it, but on a different item - done, yet it will not survive replacing that piece. Nothing means the slot is unenchanted.
Gear markers redesigned. They are a border framing the item icon now, centred rather than tucked in a corner where every other addon puts its own. Green for your spec, amber for a sibling spec of your class.
Ranked trinkets get their own mark - a single corner of that border, tinted with the trinket's tier grade. A trinket that is genuinely best in slot keeps the full ring instead, since that is the stronger statement.
Inspecting someone marks THEIR best in slot, judged against the spec they are actually in, rather than yours.
Tooltips carry the addon's own lines wherever an item appears - whether it is best in slot and for which spec, and where a trinket sits in the tier list, including saying plainly when a trinket is not ranked at all.
The window sizes itself to its content instead of being resizable. Manual resizing is gone; there is nothing left to get wrong.
The Item column is labelled "(Base ilvl)". The guides link items without upgrade bonus IDs, so tooltips resolve to the base template rather than the version that drops. The header says so rather than letting a low number read as a mistake.
Fixes
- The close button did nothing in combat. It inherited Blizzard's panel-hiding path, which stops responding there
- Markers never appeared for some specs at all: the scrape publishes a spec id per guide, and those can disagree with the client's. Any that do not match are now remapped by spec name
- Where a spec has no data, the window says so in red instead of silently showing a sibling spec's list as if it were yours
- Bags filled up with markers on reagents and quest items. Bag buttons are recycled, so a marker outlived the item that earned it
- Great Vault and raid loot markers were sized to the wrong frame, and the vault painted before its rewards had loaded
- Crafted items are matched by name as well as id, since a crafted piece has a different id at every quality and upgrade level
- Minimap button rides the minimap's edge and stays there, rather than detaching once dragged
- Every table shares one header builder and one set of font sizes, so they stop drifting apart from the gear table
v1.1.0
Class and spec pickers moved above the table. The side menu is gone. All 13 classes sit in one row, the selected class's specs in the row beneath, both spread evenly across the window. Unselected entries grey out; the selected one takes your class colour. The window is narrower for it.
The window now opens on your current spec every time, instead of whichever spec you were last looking at.
Right-click the minimap button for options:
- Show Gear Markers - turn the badges on gear off entirely
- Show Off-Spec Markers - hide the yellow badges for your class's other specs
- Prioritize Loot Spec - treat your loot specialization as the primary one. Playing Feral but looting Guardian? Guardian gear marks green, Feral yellow.
Source colours split further. Tier set pieces and gems now have their own colours instead of falling in with everything else, so the Source column reads at a glance: raid orange, Mythic+ turquoise, professions bronze, tier lavender, gems rose.
Fixes
- Crafted items showed no source at all. The guides list those as a profession tag rather than text, which the parser was discarding
- Great Vault badges appeared on locked reward slots that held no item yet
- Vault rewards are matched by name rather than item ID, since the vault hands out its own version of a piece with a different ID
- The Source column ran into the window edge with nothing to spare
- Markers no longer error on restricted frames such as map tooltips
v1.0.0
Initial release.
- Best-in-slot gear for all 39 specs, sourced from the Wowhead class guides
- Enchants and gems alongside each slot, with the source of every piece
- Sources colour-coded by where they come from: raid, Mythic+, professions, tier set, gems
- Separate lists where a guide provides them (Mistweaver raid/M+, Restoration Druid M+ only, Blood Death Knight hero talents)
- Badges on gear you already own, across bags, the character panel, loot, and the Great Vault - green for your spec, yellow for a sibling spec of your class
- Class and spec picker panel, minimap button, and a tab on the character panel
