What's new
1.87.0
- New: choose how every tracker looks while it is up and while it is missing. A missing aura can be shown in gray, red or full color, and in either state a tracker can glow or wear a border in a color you pick from the game's color picker. Set it once for every tracker with the new gear button at the top of the window (auras and cooldowns each have their own defaults), or for one tracker in its own settings. A cooldown is "up" while it runs and "missing" while it is ready. Inside its warn time a tracker is still red, whatever color was chosen.
- A border chosen for every aura while it is up gives way to a debuff's dispel type color, and to a group's Color the border by dispel type. A border, or a border color, that a tracker chooses for itself still wins.
- On trackers the game draws, the look while up is built into the game's own icon, and the look while missing is drawn inside the icon's edge, so nothing shows round the game's icon while the aura is up. A new up look on a group that watches your party is built once the window closes, and its settings say how many game icons it costs.
- A first install starts with missing auras in full color and a red border. An install from before keeps gray, and the window says once what can now be chosen.
- New tracker settings: a head that stays at the top with the tracker's name, an On switch, < and > to step through the group's trackers, a preview of the tracker up, missing and running low on a stage of its own (drawn from a made-up reading, so you can check an alert without dropping your buff), and a short line saying whether it is on screen right now (hover it for the whole story, and what a fight does to it; a warning that needs you stays in sight under it, in orange). Hover a preview cell for what that state shows. Under it, and staying at the top with it, tabs for Tracker, Sounds and Conditions (a tracker that plays no sounds, such as one on your target, has no Sounds tab). The settings are in blocks: When it's up, When it's missing and Running low (for a cooldown: while it's running, while it's ready, almost ready), the first two titled by their own checkbox in place of the old Show cycle (unticked, the block's settings hide). A look you have changed has a small reset arrow beside it that puts it back to the default. Use defaults clears a tracker's own look (a dispel tracker keeps the glow it is made with), and Apply to the group copies one tracker's settings to the rest of its group in one click, with Undo. Every slider has a box at the end of its bar to type its value.
- New group settings: a head with the group's name, On, a small + to add to the group, and ...; a preview of the whole group on its stage, with small tabs for Now, every aura Up, or every one Missing (click a tracker in it to open it; a group shown as one icon previews that icon as the game shows it); and tabs for Group and Conditions that stay at the top. Who it watches is the first row of the Group tab, with a party or raid group's In a fight (hide it, so between pulls it lists only who is missing a buff, or show everyone's buffs) under it, and the head's line says both. A group you have not named goes by its first tracker and how many more.
- New: the + in a group's head (Add to this group) starts adding to that group. A bar across the settings names it, with Done adding; the rest of the window grays out and, out of a fight, the screen around it dims, while the book stays live. Click a spell in the book to put it in (its row gets a check and says added), and click it again to take it back out. Rows already in the group, or that it cannot take, say so. + New, then Empty group, starts adding to the new group the same way, and Done adding, Escape or closing the window put everything back.
- New: Copy settings and Paste settings. Right-click a tracker in the Groups and trackers list (or on the screen while the window is open), or use ... in its settings, to copy every setting in its panel, then right-click another tracker to paste them onto it: Watch, Rank and Mine, When it's up, When it's missing, Running low, its sounds, its conditions and its On switch. Its spell, bar label and group stay its own. When the two watch different things, Paste settings and Watch takes Watch too. Anything the other tracker cannot take is skipped and named, and one Undo takes the whole paste back.
- What can be undone now takes one click and offers Undo; what cannot (removing a tracker, deleting a group) still takes two, and its button lights red, names what it will do and counts down before the second click.
- The settings use the whole width of their pane: labels and controls share a row where they fit, checkboxes go two to a row, the previews are bigger (a tall group of bars shows side by side, a group shaped by hand shows in its own shape), and every panel ends with two rows of room at the bottom. In a group shaped by hand, Trackers per row before wrapping is grayed (moving it would undo the shape) and Convert back to rows appears only there.
- Rename a group by clicking its name or the pencil in its head, with Rename in its ... menu, or with a double-click on it in the list; the Name box is gone from the Group tab. Enter or a click elsewhere keeps the name, Escape puts the old one back, and an empty name goes back to its first tracker.
- Rank (once Match by) offers Any rank or One rank, with the list to pick which rank beside it on the same row; it shows only for a spell with more than one rank, or with another aura of the same name. Mine (once Only when it was cast by me) sits on that row or beside Watch, whose choices are now On me, Cooldown and On my target.
- A small reset arrow beside a changed look puts it back to the Default look (the gear panel's section, once Every tracker); it replaces the gold edge. Use defaults and Apply to the group share one row, and so do Combine into one icon and Show it (While one is up, While all are missing or Always).
- The previews show exactly what the screen shows: a group combined into one icon as that one icon, every Look setting, Scale, Opacity, Grow towards and Trackers per row, party rows, and trackers the game draws as the game draws them, redrawn the moment a setting changes. Bar background now also clears the empty part of game-drawn bars.
- Every note in the settings is one short line with a (?) for the rest (a warning stays in orange with (!)), notes no longer leave empty space under them, and the words across the window are shorter and plainer.
- Fixed: Show member names could not be unticked.
- Trackers per row before wrapping is now Wrap after, on one row like the other sliders.
- Group size in Conditions is five boxes: Solo, Party, 10, 20 and 40. None ticked is any size, several ticked is any of them, and a size set with the old slider becomes the box it falls in and every box above it.
- The window look (Blizzard, Dark, EllesmereUI) moves to the gear button's panel. The settings' tabs look like the game's own tabs in each style.
- More ways to add from the book: hover a row and click ..., or right-click it, for Alert me when it's missing, Show it while it's up, Add to the group you are adding to, or Add to a group (a group that cannot take it is grayed, with the reason). Ctrl-click and Shift-click pick several rows, and Select all picks every search result: one drag or double-click then makes one group of them all. The Adding to line at the foot of the book says where a double-click puts things. When something lands behind the window, the book names it and Place it shows it to you.
- A spell dragged out of the book now carries its icon the way the book draws it, in every window style, held right on the cursor, with the hint under it wrapped onto short lines on a dark backing so it reads on the parchment and over the world.
- + New on the Groups and trackers list makes an empty group to fill, or pastes a shared setup. An empty group can be exported and pasted like any other, and copying a profile brings its empty groups too.
- Searching the book now shows the party version of a buff beside the one on you; picking both never puts the buff into one group twice. The book opens on the chapter each character used last.
- New party and raid groups made for a missing buff hide in a fight, so between pulls they list only who lacks it. Party buffs for my class still stays on screen in a fight, for its dispel tracker; set its In a fight to Hide it to change that.
- Refusals and trackers moved beside a group now show at the top of the settings, with Undo where it applies, instead of only in chat. An Undo refused in a fight stays offered for half a minute so it can be clicked once the fight ends. "Both" replaces "Either" everywhere, sounds are picked from a list with a play button, and arranging is called Edit layout everywhere (/auraledger layout).
- Fixed: closing the window, or leaving Edit layout, during a fight could leave a group the game draws blank until the fight ended. The addon now draws it from what it read until it can hand it back.
- Fixed: a debuff on your target set to show only while it is missing also showed the game's icon while the debuff was up, as if it were set to show both ways. It now shows only while you have a target you can attack without it, and goes as soon as your debuff lands, in a fight too. A group shown as one icon with None of them is up does the same when every tracker in it is a debuff on your target with Mine set the same way. A Show changed in a fight takes effect once the fight is over. If your client refuses the game display this needs, the tracker says so and shows both ways, as before.
/auraledger debug targetreports which. - New: Running low works on such a tracker too. Its warn time brings it back that many seconds before your debuff runs out, in a fight too, as a reminder to renew it: the game shows it with a red border (and its countdown, with the group's time text on) until you renew the debuff, then the missing look once it is gone. A group shown as one icon with None of them is up does the same when every tracker in it has the same warn time. A new warn time takes effect once the window is closed, out of a fight. If your client refuses what this needs, the setting says why and the missing look still works.
- Fixed: rolling the mouse wheel down the settings stopped whenever a slider passed under the cursor. The wheel now always scrolls the settings, and never moves a slider.
- Fixed: one spell dragged from the book onto a group the game draws, in a fight, was added at once, while every other way of adding waited for the fight to end. It is now refused the same way, saying why.
