What's new

[2.0.0] - 2026-08-25 — The Fivefold Pilgrimage

Five sacred roads

  • Adds one permanent Pilgrimage for each of the five oaths: the Steadfast Watch, Open Hand, Righteous Measure, Unclouded Flame, and Last Reserve.
  • Each consecrated oath offers a permanent choice between a guaranteed solo-capable road and an optional fellowship road through three distinct instances.
  • Every road contains three authored Stations. A Station is completed only after its location is visited, its meaningful deed or victory signal is fulfilled, and one of the six Virtues is deliberately chosen for the Reliquary.
  • Preserves a permanent map stamp for every visited Station and fifteen freely chosen Reliquary dedications across the complete fivefold journey. Reliquary choices are expressions of the character's story and grant no ordinary Virtue points.
  • Keeps Pilgrimages timeless, deterministic, and penalty-free: there is no deadline, random reward, or forced group path, and only one oath chapter may be underway at a time.
  • Adds unique contextual guidance to all six main chapter tabs so Oaths, Trials & Seals, Sacred Vigils, Pilgrimage, Chronicle, and Virtues explain their purpose before opening.
  • Gives narrative and tip-focused tooltip rows a consistent flush-left, wrapped presentation with breathing room after the summary; compact right-hand columns now remain only for progress, totals, and factual status data.
  • Adds contextual hover guidance across the Pilgrimage tab, overview cards, manuscript densities, journey header, both route choices, every Station, map-stamp status, all Reliquary choices, and the Grand Pilgrimage. Each tooltip explains the purpose, exact requirement, live state, and next step without changing progress.
  • Clarifies in the interface that map identifiers are internal modern/Anniversary compatibility values used to recognize the player's location automatically; players never need to find or enter an identifier.

The Grand Pilgrimage

  • Completing all five oath Pilgrimages unlocks the sixth and final journey, The Grand Pilgrimage of Five Oaths.
  • The Grand Pilgrimage asks the Paladin to bear each oath again and leave one living witness through a meaningful deed or eligible non-trivial victory.
  • Returning to Shattrath City after all five witnesses completes the closing ceremony and permanent Grand Pilgrimage stamp without granting combat power or ordinary points.

Canon of Great Deeds

  • Adds a hand-curated Canon that can preserve up to fifteen existing Chronicle passages as immutable memory snapshots.
  • Each leaf retains its original date, location, active oath, Virtue, title, and body, then adds a chosen wax emblem, a prewritten dedication, and an optional short private marginal note.
  • Supports one bookmarked leaf for immediate access, safe local replay with the established Chronicle cue, and restrained nominations that favor defining milestones without selecting anything automatically.
  • Canon additions, edits, removals, bookmarks, and replays grant no progression and provide no unrestricted sharing or export path.
  • Reflows the Canon editor into a dedicated band beneath the Chronicle introduction, with a compact non-overlapping seal, identity, choices, marginal note, summary, and footer-safe actions.

A Living Manuscript

  • Adds Subtle, Illuminated, and Ceremonial manuscript-density choices to the Pilgrimage overview.
  • Makes all three densities immediately available presentation preferences, with Illuminated as the default; no density is a progression unlock or reward track.
  • Replaces schematic straight margins, isolated side crests, and the disconnected central Concord emblem with purpose-built true-alpha holy light around the integrated header, rails, cornerwork, and footer.
  • Subtle keeps a nearly invisible static halo; Illuminated breathes with restrained gold light and two traveling blooms; Ceremonial adds richer gold, active-Oath color, and four moving sweeps. Intensity grows with fifteen permanent Reliquary dedications and five completed Oath journeys, while Concord, Folio, and Grand completion enrich the final frame without affecting readability or mouse behavior.
  • The animation is created once, preserves its phase across ordinary refreshes, stops cleanly at Subtle density, and changes no progression or SavedVariables beyond the selected cosmetic density. The Minimap Reliquary continues to inherit the chosen density.
  • Expands the Chronicle with Journeys, Reliquary, and Canon records, new Pilgrimage illuminations, and live journey summary counters.

Charges, Primer, and safe persistence

  • Places Crusader's Charges beside the active Pilgrimage chapter. Permanent acceptance now requires a Paladin with the matching active consecrated oath, automatic deed tracking, and an active incomplete Pilgrimage chapter.
  • Retains the complete 80-hour Charge contract: offline time counts; only eligible non-trivial Undead or Demons personally engaged after acceptance count; 100, 200, and 300 grant only the highest reward of 5, 7, or 10 points to one chosen Virtue; and Charge conclusion advances no Trial, Seal, Vigil, Laurel, Testament chapter, or Folio eligibility.
  • Adds contextual hover guidance to the complete Charge parchment, including availability, both quarry offerings, threshold cards, secured reward, decision controls, all six Virtue previews, and the final one-time claim.
  • Expands the Keeper's Primer to guide version 3 and ten pages, introducing route choice, Stations, Reliquary dedications, the Canon, Living Manuscript, and Grand Pilgrimage while preserving deliberate first-open and replay behavior.
  • Centers the Argent Sigil's Standing, Seal, and Laurel totals beneath the shared progress-row column while preserving its full footer hover, click, and drag target.
  • Declares AetherText as an optional dependency alongside Chattynator and links the same-author AetherText project from the packaged README and CurseForge description; both addons remain separate All Rights Reserved works by Robbie.
  • Advances SavedVariables additively to schema 17. Existing oaths, Virtues, Ledger entries, Trials, Seals, Vigils, Laurels, Charges, Testament chapters, Folio rewards, settings, presentation choices, and Herald memory remain valid.
  • Ships 65 official addon files with 24 TOC-listed Lua modules, 32 TGA textures, and five original WAV cues. The 2.0 journey adds no remotely downloaded media.
