ArenaBriefing

Arena Briefing helps you enter WoW arenas with a plan. It provides beginner-friendly strategy suggestions before the gates open, based on your team, your opponents, and the arena map.

Supports Retail WoW 2v2, 3v3, and Solo Shuffle, with English and Simplified Chinese text. No account or external service is required.

Prepare before each match

View both teams and a short briefing with matchup advice, positioning suggestions, and reminders for handling key enemy abilities. Map-aware guidance helps you plan around pillars, cover, and terrain.

The addon uses available preparation information to detect specializations. If a specialization is unavailable, you can select it manually. Solo Shuffle briefings refresh between rounds as teams change.

Keep your plan handy

Move and resize the briefing panel to suit your interface. It hides when combat starts by default, with an option to keep it visible. Recommendations freeze at the start of combat.

You can share a compact briefing using the Send to party or Send to instance buttons during preparation. Messages are sent only when you click—never automatically.

Review your matches

Browse up to 100 recent arena sessions per character, including recorded compositions, maps, and briefings. When available, history also includes your final damage, healing, deaths, killing blows, rating, and rating change.

Solo Shuffle history groups observed rounds into one session. Missing information is clearly marked as unavailable or unknown. Review prompts help you reflect on your plan; they do not automatically identify mistakes or explain why you won or lost.

English and Simplified Chinese

Arena Briefing follows your client language, using Simplified Chinese on zhCN clients and English otherwise. An optional setting switches the interface and shared briefings to English.

Current status

Arena Briefing is currently in alpha. Automatic detection, UI behavior, and match-history collection are still being validated in the live client. Some information may be unavailable because of WoW API restrictions.

Strategy suggestions combine general arena principles with a limited set of independently worded summaries informed by public Skill Capped guides. Arena Briefing is not affiliated with or endorsed by Skill Capped. Advice is bundled with the addon and may need updates as the game changes.

Arena Briefing provides preparation guidance. It does not automate targeting, casting, or combat decisions. Settings and match history are stored locally in WoW’s SavedVariables.
