Arena Buddy

You know the moment. Gates open in 40 seconds, you've got a rogue, a fire mage and a holy paladin in front of you and your brain goes: "Wait, what does this guy even have again?" Arena Buddy answers that before the gates open.

One card per enemy. Offensive cooldowns, defensive cooldowns, crowd control, the optional talents that matter, pvp talents sorted by what the top 50 actually play, racials once they're visible. Every row has a one line note that tells you what to do about it, not a copy of the tooltip. And a fourth card that suggests talents for your own spec against exactly this comp, with tips from top players when they've got something to say about that matchup.

What makes it different

• all data comes straight out of the live 12.1 client. no ten year old spell lists. cooldowns, durations and dispel types are read from the game, pvp durations included.
  
  
• cooldowns are shown with the talents nearly every top player takes. hammer of justice says 30s, not 45s, because everyone plays fist of justice. the tooltip tells you which talent it assumes.
  
  
• pills on every row: STUN / INCAP / DISORIENT / SILENCE / ROOT for the DR category, MAGIC / CURSE / POISON / PHYSICAL for what can dispel it, TEAM for stuff they can cast on the partner, CDR for cooldowns that get shortened by their spec mechanics, DEADLY for the burst cooldowns that actually kill you.
  
  
• pvp talents nobody in the top 50 plays are hidden by default, the rest show their pick rate.
  
  
• talent suggestions come from a rule builder. "if there's a warlock or an evoker, suggest reverse magic". exact specs, classes, double melee, 2v2 only, whatever. build your own, export them as a code, import codes from your favourite streamer.
  
  
• expert tips: short counter-play advice from top players of your spec, shown on your suggestion card when their comp shows up. with their name, their face, and one click for their twitch. curated by hand, you just switch them on or off.
  
  
• learn window: open it anywhere, pick any specs, 2v2 or 3v3, and study a matchup before you queue. same cards, same tips, no arena needed.
  
  
• profiles are account wide and shareable as one code: every setting, your spell filter, your own notes, your rules. content creators, this one's for you.
  
  
• you can override any note with your own text. spell filter lets you hide anything you never want to see.
  
  
• your way: full cards, header-only enemy cards stacked next to your suggestions, or just the suggestions. horizontal or vertical. by default the round starts with a small "arena buddy" tab and one click opens the cards, or switch that off and get them right away.
  
  
• the ui: glass cards, fade and slide in, right click closes, drag to move, scrolls if it gets too tall. talents button opens your talent tree right there, cards stay behind it.
  
  
• performance: no OnUpdate loops, nothing running during the match. it shows up before the round, does its thing, gets out of the way.
