Arc Track

Hunter tracking alert for WoW Forever. When your tracking doesn't match what you're fighting, Arc Track tells you, and one key switches it.

Why it matters

Improved Tracking gives +1% damage per rank (up to 5%) to the creature type you track. Arc Track makes sure that's always the creature in front of you.

What it does

• Alerts only when you need to switch. Target a beast while tracking humanoids and a small alert says Track Beasts, with your switch key next to it. When your tracking is right, nothing shows.
• One key or macro switches it. Set a key in the options (or under Key Bindings > AddOns > Arc Track), or drag the ready-made macro onto your bars.
• Knows what you've learned. No alerts for tracking spells you don't have yet.
• Built around Improved Tracking. By default it only alerts once you have a point in the talent. One click turns that off.
• Your look. Alert or "target vs tracking" style, icon and/or text, optional background, your own colors, pulse, size, and a check mark when your tracking is right if you want one.
• Drag to place. Open the options and drag the preview wherever you want it.

Good to know

• Dungeons and raids: the game hides creature types from addons inside instances, so Arc Track shows the type but can't pick for you there. Switch by hand.
• Switching is a real spell cast on Forever, so it can take a moment. The alert reads "Switching..." until it lands.
• Settings: WoW Forever currently doesn't always load addon settings after a reload or restart (a Blizzard bug that affects all addons). Arc Track's defaults are the recommended setup, so it works out of the box.

Commands

• /arctrack or /atr: open the options
• /arctrack switch: switch tracking to your target
• Minimap button: left-click for options, right-click to turn the alert on or off
