What's new
Arc Auras
3.0.1
Import from Arc UI (work in progress), bar skins, and shaped glows.
New Features
- Import from Arc UI (work in progress) - Bring your Arc UI icons, groups and bars over (Import / Export > Arc UI).
- ArcUI ProcTracker moves in - With ArcUI ProcTracker installed, Arc Auras asks at login which of its trackers to bring over, in the same places with the same looks.
- Bar skins - Save a bar's look as a skin and use it on any bar, switching by class, spec or talent.
- Glows on shaped icons - Glows take the shape of circle, diamond and hexagon icons.
Improvements
- Sliders - Smoother dragging, with - and + steppers.
- Faster options panel - No more stutter on clicks.
- Glow speed - Ants and Proc glows have a Speed setting too.
- Tidier sidebar - Each layout lists + Add New first, then its groups, with bars and free icons in folds of their own.
Bug Fixes
- Icons stay in place - Icons in a group no longer move on their own after a login or spec change.
- Glow fixes - Glows on missing icons no longer get cut off, and button glows on masked icons run at the right speed.
- Stack bar colors - No more flash on the first stack or a new color after a reload.
- Proc Tracker import - "Draw Behind Border" glows keep their backing.
- ArcUI ProcTracker move - Trackers switched off in ArcUI ProcTracker show in the move window too, so you can bring them over for your other specs.
3.0.0
Cooldown Manager Bars, potion and healthstone templates, and texts you can pin to your own icons.
New Features
- Cooldown Manager Bar - A new bar that copies one of the Cooldown Manager's Tracked Bars, timer and all, in your own look. Handy for timers no aura can track, like Crusading Strikes' swing timer.
- Potion and healthstone templates - Item icons offer Combat Potion, Health Potion and Healthstone templates. Each follows the one you last used, as the Cooldown Manager does.
- Pin a text to your own icons - A text can sit on any Arc Auras icon or bar, aura icons included. Pick it on screen.
Improvements
- Combat potion duration - A combat potion icon shows how long your potion's buff has left, also when copied from the Cooldown Manager.
- Masque - Every group shows up in Masque, also ones in the Cooldown Manager look, and Masque Skins is on when Masque is installed.
Bug Fixes
- Buffs copied as debuffs - Copying your Cooldown Manager no longer turns some buffs, like Crash Lightning, into debuff icons.
- Debuffs in Dynamic aura groups - A debuff copied from the Cooldown Manager, like Flame Shock, now shows in a Dynamic aura group.
- Dynamic aura groups after logging in - Icons that load for a spec or talent no longer stay empty when you log in inside a dungeon or in combat.
2.9.0.a
Own looks for any state, and a fade setting for button glows.
New Features
- Own looks - Give any state its own look while something is true, like Missing with no target or Ready in combat (Conditions > By State).
- Button glow fade out - Set how long a button glow fades when it stops. By default it stops at once.
Improvements
- Adding an own look - A green + right after a state's name adds one, instead of an extra row under every state.
Bug Fixes
- Button glow on hidden icons - A hidden icon no longer leaves its button glow fading behind.
2.8.0
Arc Auras in Korean, Custom Icons that show an aura and a cooldown, and No charges.
New Features
- Korean - Arc Auras now shows in Korean on a Korean client. It is a first translation that Korean players can improve, and Settings has Use English for anyone who prefers English.
- Custom Icons show an aura and a cooldown - A Custom Icon can show a debuff's duration and a spell's cooldown, with By State looks for Aura up, Timer running, On cooldown and Ready, each with its own glow and sound.
- Trap templates - A trap icon, a trap slot, and a Hunter Traps group that shows only the traps you have out.
Improvements
- No charges - A charge spell's last state is now called No charges (it was Depleted).
- Other languages - Spell, item, class and power names show in your game's language, the options search finds accented and Cyrillic letters, and buttons fit longer words.
- Option labels - A long label now wraps instead of being cut off.
Bug Fixes
- Bar fonts on Korean and Chinese clients - Fonts without Korean or Chinese letters are no longer offered there, and a saved one shows in the game's font.
- Spell list on non-English clients - Passive spells no longer slip into the spell picker.
2.7.0
Edit your layouts right on your screen, make a whole layout bigger with one slider, and a new texture picker.
New Features
- Edit on screen - Drag, size and anchor every element of a layout right on your screen, with snap guides, several picked at once, and Undo and Redo (a layout's Overview, or the button on the window's title bar).
- Layout scale - One slider makes everything in a layout bigger or smaller, the gaps between them included.
- Layout Overview - A layout opens on Overview: its size, where it sits, and a map of everything in it. Icon, group and bar looks share one Looks tab.
- Pin a layout - Keep a layout at the middle, an edge or a corner of your screen when your resolution or UI scale changes.
- Center a layout - Center puts the middle of what you see on the middle of your screen, or drop the cross on screen to pick your own center.
- Layout strata - Put a whole layout on one frame strata, or move each element up or down from its own.
- Bar texture picker - A texture window with a live preview, favorites, your recent picks, and textures sorted by the addon that adds them.
- Aura picker - Adding an aura icon lists your Cooldown Manager's buffs and debuffs to pick from, plus a Bloodlust / Heroism icon.
- More Custom Icon templates - Algeth'ar Puzzle Box and Light's Potential, each a timer from its use.
- Aura icons on several units - On unit has a new Several units choice: tick each unit to watch, and the first one that has the aura shows on top.
- States for one power - On a bar that follows your form, a By State row can be for Energy, Mana or any one power.
- Keep the swipe bright - Dim an icon on cooldown and keep its swipe clear (Conditions > By State).
- End a set duration by casting again - On this icon > A set duration > When cast again has a new choice, End it: a cast while the timer runs ends it, so the cast works as a toggle.
Improvements
- Resource bar color - Color by Power color or Fill color, and the texture swatch shows the power's color.
- Position - X and Y can count from the middle of your screen.
- Sidebar - Edit stays on every layout row; +, the eye and the lock show when you hover the row (Settings keeps them shown).
- Group frames while editing - Show the border and background, the border only, or nothing (Settings).
- Anchors - Offsets now reach 2000, so you can anchor far away without anything moving.
- Proc Tracker import moved into Import / Export - It is now a tab there: tick the parts to bring, see which are already in Arc Auras, and import again after deleting a layout.
Bug Fixes
- Dispel-type borders - A hidden aura icon no longer leaves its dispel-type border on screen.
- Resource bar color - A Fill color now shows on resource bars when you pick it.

Bug Fixes
- Totem time - Shows on icons whose totem is a guardian or carries another name than its spell.
- Dynamic groups - A bigger icon in a one-row or one-column group no longer overlaps its neighbours or shifts when the options open.

2.3.0

New Features
- Stance icon - Add > Icon > Stance shows the stance, form or aura you are in, or one stance that lights up while you are in it.

- Performance - Less CPU while your mana or energy refills.
- Texts over glows - Duration and stack texts always sit over the glows on aura group buttons.
Bug Fixes

- Resource bar looks - A look per form, spec or talent no longer forgets a switch you turned off when you log in.
- Buffs and debuffs - Aura groups showing both now add their debuffs reliably, and switching back to Buffs or to nameplates removes them at once.
- Load When - No longer promises silence on aura icons: the game still plays their sounds.
2.2.0
The first retail release of Arc Auras. Feedback is welcome on Discord.
New Features
- Arc Auras on retail - Icons, icon groups and bars for your cooldowns, auras and resources, set up from one panel.
- Import from ArcUI ProcTracker - Bring your trackers over, switched-off ones too, with the same looks, sounds and counts. Each one you import is switched off in ArcUI ProcTracker, so nothing shows twice. Arc Auras offers it when it finds ProcTracker set up.
- Special Auras - Doom Winds, Tempest, Storm Unleashed, Elemental Tempest, Deeply Rooted Elements, Soulburst, Nature's Guardian and Power Infusion, as icons or deck bars. Talent decks load only with their talent.
- Pin any text - Stack counts, custom texts, keybinds and bar texts can sit on an action button, a Cooldown Manager icon or any named frame.
- Cooldown ID pins - Pin to one exact Cooldown Manager icon, even when two icons share a spell.
- Resource bars - Rune and Essence recharge countdowns, bar-style slots, charged combo points, fold in half, and an option to hide Blizzard's class bar.
- A look per form, spec or talent - A resource bar can keep its own colors, texts and ticks for each druid form, each spec, or with and without a talent.
- Sound item - A sound or spoken line with nothing on screen, on the same triggers as Custom Icons, a condition, or an aura gained, stacking or fading.
- Conditions - Load, fade or play a sound by combat, aggro, mounted, group, instance, raid encounter and more.
- Charge spells - Their states read Ready, Recharging and Depleted.
- Totem slots - An empty slot shows the totem icon.
Bug Fixes
- Glows over borders - The glow on an aura icon draws over its border instead of hiding behind it.
Known Issues
- Waiting for patch 12.1.5 - Debuff-colored borders, stack colors on aura bars and debuff type looks are hidden until then.
- Sound item aura rules - Until patch 12.1.5, Quiet for does not limit them, so they play every time.
- /arcauras - With ArcUI installed, /arcauras opens ArcUI. Use /arcui2 instead.
