Description

ApplicantScout
Install both parts (required)
ApplicantScout will not show parses by itself if you install only the CurseForge addon.
It is a two-part tool:
- ApplicantScout addon - the in-game addon installed through CurseForge.
- Applicant Scout Companion - the Windows overlay that decodes screenshots and shows the Warcraft Logs / RaiderIO parse view.
Download the latest required companion here: github.com/Antrakt92/ApplicantScout-Companion/releases/latest
If the companion is not running, the addon can still capture QR screenshots, but you will not see the external applicant parse overlay.
ApplicantScout helps Mythic+ key hosts review applicants without turning the in-game Group Finder into a spreadsheet.
The addon captures applicant snapshots from Blizzard's LFG UI and sends them through QR screenshots to Applicant Scout Companion, a local desktop overlay that shows Warcraft Logs, RaiderIO, role, group, and key-fit context.
What it does
- Applicant snapshots while you host - ApplicantScout watches the applicant list for your active Mythic+ listing and emits fresh snapshots as applicants change.
- QR screenshot transport - data moves through normal WoW screenshots, not chat messages or memory hooks.
- Companion overlay context - Applicant Scout Companion shows WCL raid/Mythic+ percentiles, RaiderIO current/main score context, role filters, and fit labels for your listed key.
- Group-aware scouting - grouped applicants stay visible together so you can judge the package, not only isolated rows.
- Playstyle-aware defaults - new Mythic+ listings default to
Competitive, with Off, Learning, Relaxed, Competitive, and Carry Offered available from the settings panel or slash commands.
Requirements
- World of Warcraft Retail / Midnight 12.x
- Applicant Scout Companion for the external overlay
- Warcraft Logs API credentials configured in the companion
- Optional: RaiderIO addon for current-season main-score context
ApplicantScout is the in-game data-source half of the setup. The companion is what renders the external WCL/RaiderIO overlay.
Installation
- Install ApplicantScout through CurseForge.
- Install Applicant Scout Companion from the GitHub Releases page: github.com/Antrakt92/ApplicantScout-Companion/releases/latest
- Reload WoW.
- Launch the companion and enter your Warcraft Logs Client ID/Secret.
- Set the active WoW
_retail_\Screenshotsfolder in companion Settings. - Host a Mythic+ listing and keep ApplicantScout enabled while scouting applicants.
The CurseForge addon file installs only the in-game addon. The desktop companion is distributed separately because it is a Windows application with its own installer, update flow, and third-party runtime notices.
Privacy and safety
ApplicantScout does not read WoW memory, inject code, automate gameplay, or send chat messages as a transport.
The addon renders QR snapshots and triggers normal WoW screenshots. The companion watches only the configured WoW Screenshots folder, decodes ApplicantScout APS1 payloads, and stores Warcraft Logs credentials/cache files locally under the current Windows user profile.

/apscout reset. - WCL cells stay empty: open companion Settings and use Test WCL.
- QR frame is in the way: run

Compatibility
- World of Warcraft Retail / Midnight 12.x
