# AnyDataBar – Changelog
## [3.1.1] – 2026-10-18
- Changed: the Mythic+ module is now disabled on WoW Forever, since Mythic+ and Delves don't exist there.
- Fixed: that same change could cause a crash (the module's periodic update still ran even though it had no bar frame on Forever).
## [3.1.0] – 2026-10-18
- New: WoW Forever support. Several old global APIs that Forever removed (GetItemInfo, GetSpecialization) are now handled gracefully or replaced with their modern equivalents.
- New: Hearthstones are now detected automatically from your Toy Box instead of a manually maintained list — it finds any hearthstone-like toy you own and figures out on its own whether it's a normal one (binds to your home location) or a special one (fixed destination), including ones added in future patches.
- New: Portals module has a new "Special" category for teleport items that don't have "hearthstone" in their name but work like one (e.g. the Personal Key to the Arcantina).
- New: Edit Mode now suppresses hover flyouts (so you can focus on positioning) and a right-click on a module jumps straight to its settings instead of running its normal click action.
- Changed: removed the floating Settings and Module Manager windows — the Blizzard options window covers the same job. `/adb settings` now jumps straight to the right tab there. `/adb bar` and `/adb modules` were removed as a result; the Module Manager stays reachable from the options sidebar.
- Changed: `/adb help` now gives a short introduction instead of just listing commands.
- Fixed: spacer/module order could get randomly shuffled on reload or profile switch when both bars had colliding order values.
- Fixed: Armor's durability display could get stuck on an old value after a death (e.g. an M+ wipe) until something else happened to refresh it.
## [3.0.0] – 2026-10-11 (Beta)
- New: Spacer cells! Click "+ Add Spacer" in the Module Manager to insert an empty, width-adjustable filler cell (gear icon = width slider, red "x" = remove permanently). Invisible during normal play, shown with a dashed outline in Edit Mode so you can grab and move it like any other module — including between Bar 1 and Bar 2.
- New: drag a module straight from the Module Manager onto the bar (while in Edit Mode) to activate it and place it exactly where you dropped it — the target bar highlights and shows exactly where it'll land.
- Changed: Edit Mode now turns itself off automatically when you close the options window, instead of staying active until you toggle it again.
## [2.7.0] – 2026-10-03
- New: Edit Mode! Toggle it with the new button in the top-right of the main options panel (or the floating Settings panel). While active, drag the whole bar to reposition it, and drag individual modules directly on the bar to reorder them.
- New: drag modules between Bar 1 and Bar 2 while in Edit Mode — their bar assignment updates automatically, and the Module Manager stays in sync.
- New: drag Bar 1 onto Bar 2 while in Edit Mode to swap their positions (top/bottom) instead of dropping Bar 1 in between.
- New: modules can no longer visually extend past the screen edge, no matter how the bar is resized or reordered.
- Changed: dragging the bar always snaps it cleanly to the top or bottom edge now — no more accidentally ending up "floating" in the middle of the screen.
- Fixed: after turning Edit Mode off, one more module drag was still possible before it actually locked.
## [2.6.0] – 2026-10-07 (Beta)
- New: Profiles! Create, copy, rename and delete named sets of your bar layout/look/behavior settings, with a new "Profiles" tab. Which profile applies can cascade Character > Realm > Account-default, so you don't have to assign it to every single character by hand. A ready-made preset profile is also included as an extra starting option.
- New: flyout/dropdown menus now use your chosen font and size (previously fixed), and their background/border/hover color are configurable in the Colors tab.
- New: Menu, Portals, Teleports and Hearthstones can now optionally show a text label next to their icon (module settings).
- New: the second bar has an "Inherit settings from Bar 1" option (height, mouseover fade), on by default.
- Changed: Armor and Volume hover lists are now cleanly aligned in columns, matching Gold's table style.
- Changed: Social's hover table now matches the look of every other module's flyout (background/border/hover color, font).
- Fixed: Portals could permanently disappear for characters who do have portals, if it had previously been hidden on a character without any.
- Fixed: icon-only modules (Menu, Portals, Teleports, Hearthstones) left an odd gap before the next separator.
- Fixed: a separator character wide enough could visually overlap the next module.
- Fixed: Auto-Post could post your keystone twice after an NPC trade (the old one, then the correct new one a moment later).
- Fixed: a Community's online status could stay stuck at 0 until you opened Blizzard's Communities window yourself.
- Fixed: changing Bar 1's height or mouseover fade didn't live-update Bar 2 even with "Inherit settings from Bar 1" on.
- Fixed: a settings change made during combat could throw an error (ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED); it now simply applies once combat ends.
## [2.5.5] – 2026-09-30
- Fixed: removed a leftover development debug logger that would have kept writing to your SavedVariables indefinitely.
## [2.5.4] – 2026-09-30
- Gold: character list is now cleanly aligned in 3 columns (name/level/gold), with a hover flyout to remove a single character, and a new "Remove All Characters" button.
- Mythic+: posting your keystone in chat now shares a real, clickable item link instead of plain text — every viewer sees it in their own client language automatically.
- Mythic+: new chat command `!keys` — anyone who types `!keys` in guild/party/raid chat, or whispers it to you, automatically gets your current keystone link back in the same channel.
- Mythic+: Auto-Post can now also whisper the keystone to a chosen character; you'll get a clear on-screen warning if Auto-Post is enabled but no target (group/guild/whisper) is selected.
- Mythic+: keystone-change detection reworked to react reliably after finishing a dungeon, instead of depending on which Blizzard event happens to fire.
- Fixed: Auto-Post could silently fail to react to keystone changes, and could incorrectly fire once right after login/reload.
- Fixed: disabling a module in the Module Manager could leave it silently running in the background (still reacting to events/timers) instead of fully stopping — you'll now also get a "Reload now?" prompt after enabling/disabling a module.
- Fixed: Auto-Post could post your keystone a second time right after leaving the dungeon.
## [2.5.3] – 2026-09-15
- Fixed several errors that could occur in combat (e.g. when clicking a module or while a hover menu was open): clicks and hover menus that would open a Blizzard window now specifically do nothing in combat (Collections, Spellbook, Professions, Settings) – all other modules (Bags, Character, Reputation, Friends, Currency, ...) continue to work normally in combat.
- Windows that were already open before combat started are now automatically closed when combat begins, instead of getting stuck.
## [2.5.2] – 2026-09-11
- Fixed an error where a click/hover menu could throw an error in combat if a Portals or Teleports submenu had been opened previously.
## [2.5.1] – 2026-08-16
- Added compatibility with version 12.1
## [2.5.0] – 2026-04-26
### Added
- **Full English / German localization** — AnyDataBar is now fully available in **enUS** and **deDE**.
All UI text is served through the `L["KEY"]` localization system; the correct language is selected
automatically based on the WoW client locale.
### Changed
#### Core
- `Localization.lua` — Added ~60 new localization keys covering all previously hardcoded strings
across every module and options panel.
#### Options
- `Settings.lua` — All section labels, slider/dropdown captions, checkbox texts, and the floating
panel title are now localized (Layout, Font, Colors, 2nd Bar sections).
- `ModuleSettings.lua` — All per-module section headers and every entry in `MODULE_SPECIFIC_OPTIONS`
(Clock, Gold, Performance, Bags, Armor, Coordinates, Speed, Experience, SpecNLoot, MythicPlus,
Currency, Group, PetManager, Social) are now localized.
- `ModuleManager.lua` — Info text, drag hint, bar label, back button, and description are now localized.
- `Options.lua` — Intro text, command overview, and all 25 module description blocks are now localized.
#### Modules
- `ContextMenu.lua` — All right-click menu entries are now localized.
- `Mail.lua` — Bar text, tooltip header, and sender prefix are now localized.
- `MythicPlus.lua` — Score label and all hover/right-click entries are now localized.
- `Performance.lua` — "Total:" memory label is now localized.
- `SpecNLoot.lua` — Specialization, Loot Spec, and Talent Build dropdown labels are now localized.
- `Group.lua` — Dungeon/Raid difficulty names (Heroic, Mythic, legacy raid sizes) are now localized.
- `Volume.lua` — Header, mute state, all audio channel labels, and mute/unmute toggle are now localized.
- `PetManager.lua` — Warning color labels in custom settings are now localized.
- `Farming.lua` — "All Expansions" filter and "Add" button are now localized.
- `Professions.lua` — Fallback profession names (Cooking, Fishing, Archaeology) and "not learned"
suffix are now localized.
## [2.4.8] – 2026-04-23
### Patch 12.0.5 compatibility
#### 🐛 SetFont fix (Utils.lua)
- **fontStyle `"NONE"`** — Was not a valid `SetFont()` flag and got rejected starting with 12.0.5; now converted to `nil` (no outline). Affected all modules and caused a completely black, empty bar for affected users.
#### 🔧 Speed.lua — Combat taint fixed
- `OnUpdate` is now disabled on combat start (`PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED`) and re-enabled on combat end (`PLAYER_REGEN_ENABLED`). Prevents taint on `GetUnitSpeed()` caused by the `SecureActionButtonTemplate` context in 12.0.5. Speed display freezes in combat, Skyriding right-click still works.
#### 📦 Interface version
- TOC updated to `120005` (Patch 12.0.5).
## [2.4.7] – 2026-04-04
### Stability patch
- Invalid font sizes, font styles, and text colors no longer cause errors
- Coordinates and Speed display: negative decimal-places setting no longer crashes
- Internal fix: test runner no longer causes action bar errors
## [2.4.6] – 2026-04-03
### Stability patch
- **Taint fix**: Teleports, Portals, Wormholes, and Hearthstones can now be used from the dropdown in combat too — no more "Interface action failed" error
- **Right-click safety**: Right-clicking ButtonBag now asks for confirmation before reloading the UI
- **Bags right-click**: Now sorts bags (if Plumber is not installed)
- **M+ auto-post**: Prevents double-posting the keystone on rapid events
- **PetManager**: Taunt detection now also works on FR, ES, RU, PT, KO, and ZH clients
- **Right-click context menu** on the bar is now active (was implemented but disabled)
- Various API safeguards for future expansion updates (Clock, Experience, Volume, Group)
