Angler's Atlas — TBC

Angler's Atlas is a dedicated fishing companion for World of Warcraft Classic — TBC Anniversary.

It is built around two ideas: a useful field journal when you're planning a fishing trip, and useful live intelligence while the bobber is in the water.

Field Journal

• Searchable fish, treasure, fishing, zone, and cooking reference data.
• Fish pages with fishing skill guidance, catch locations, requirements, vendor values, Auctionator market estimates when available, and personal catch history.
• Zone pages with local fish, fishing requirements, time/season conditions, fishing opportunities, pools, personal statistics, profitability, and discovered-pool information.
• World drops and special fishing-related items are available from the relevant reference pages.
• Personal fishing goals, progress, and records.

Fishing Intelligence

• Live session tracking based on real fishing attempts rather than simply counting button presses.
• Casts, catches, Got Away results, catch rate, fish/hour, vendor value, and auction value.
• Protection against rapid spam-casting and premature reel-ins contaminating session statistics.
• Learned bite timing that persists by fishing area and becomes a live Bite Confidence instrument while fishing.
• Effective fishing skill, fishing-pole bonus, lure state, zone requirement, and safe-skill guidance.
• Personal bests and session-vs-zone comparisons.
• Session catch breakdowns and persistent recent-session history.
• Fishing time is tracked intelligently through short interruptions such as combat, while longer inactivity can begin a new session.
• Zone changes can remain part of the same session while being recorded as separate location segments.

Fishing Toolbox

A compact, movable field toolbox puts common fishing actions within easy reach:

• CAST — cast Fishing using a secure action.
• DETAILS — open the independent Fishing Intelligence panel.
• UNEQUIP / POLE — swap between fishing gear and the last known normal combat gear.
• LURE — apply a supported lure; right-click to choose which lure to use.
• OPEN — open supported fishing containers from your bags; right-click to choose a container.
• LOG — open fishing history.
• ROUTE — set or clear a waypoint for the nearest discovered fishing pool, or open the current zone when no waypoint integration is available.
• SETUP — configure toolbox behavior and positioning options, including the Details panel side and position.
• The toolbox remembers its position, and the Details panel can be positioned independently. The toolbox can also snap back onto the details pane.

Lure and container controls show the available item count and dynamically reflect the item currently selected for use.

When combat interrupts fishing, Angler's Atlas can automatically restore the last known normal combat gear and return to the fishing setup afterward.

Fishing Audio

Angler's Atlas includes an optional Audio Focus system designed to make fishing easier to hear without permanently changing your normal WoW audio settings.

• Temporarily enhance selected WoW sound channels while actively fishing.
• Restore the exact previous audio values when fishing ends or is interrupted.
• Optional catch, Got Away, lure, and fishing-goal sounds.
• Optional bite-related accessibility alerts.
• Alert sounds are off by default.
• Audio Focus does not attempt to fabricate or claim a separate guaranteed bite-detection sound.

All audio-assistance features are optional.

Fishing Economy

When Auctionator is installed, Angler's Atlas can provide cached auction-price estimates and use them alongside vendor values for fishing profitability.

• Profitability information in relevant fishing views.

Auctionator is completely optional; Angler's Atlas does not require it to function.

Routes & Fishing Pools

Angler's Atlas maintains personal memory of discovered fishing-pool locations.

• Remember discovered pools by zone.
• Show personal pool information.
• Identify nearby known pools.
• Use the nearest discovered pool as a route/waypoint target when supported.
• Integrate with TomTom when available.
• Clear an active pool waypoint from the same Route control.

Personal Fishing Memory

Angler's Atlas stores persistent personal fishing information using WoW SavedVariables.

• Up to 100 saved fishing sessions.
• Per-zone fishing totals.
• Personal fishing goals and progress.
• Personal best fish/hour.
• Personal best catch rate.
• Personal best vendor/hour.
• Personal best auction/hour.
• Personal catch totals.
• Discovered fishing-pool locations.

Data & Methodology

Fishing requirements, catch guidance, and bite timing are intended as useful guidance rather than guarantees.

Actual results can vary with fishing skill, fishing equipment, lure bonuses, water type, pool availability, time/season restrictions, and other game conditions.

Bite Confidence is learned from the player's own successful catches and observed bite timing. Angler's Atlas deliberately avoids treating rapid repositioning casts, premature reel-ins, or other non-legitimate fishing attempts as valid bite samples or normal fishing statistics.

Privacy

Angler's Atlas stores personal fishing history, goals, discovered pool locations, and related statistics in WoW's normal SavedVariables system.

It does not require an external account and does not transmit your fishing history to a remote service.
