⚠️ AML v3.0.0 Beta Update - Taint & Stability Hotfixes

Huge thanks to the beta testers for helping track down some incredibly deep-engine WoW API bugs! This update brings massive stability improvements to the chat engine, eliminates UI taint, and patches several roster issues.

🛠️ Stability & API Taint Fixes:

  • "Action Blocked" & Whisper Crash Fix: Completely rebuilt the Chat Extender and URL Linker to operate directly on the physical chat box instead of overriding global secure functions. This permanently prevents the "Secret String" taint cascades that were causing errors with SetLastTellTarget (whispering) and JoinChannelByName (conflicts with other UI addons).
  • System Message Immunity: The logging engine now strictly ignores CHAT_MSG_SYSTEM events to prevent Lua errors and chat frame lockups when Blizzard prints hidden secure strings to the chat window.
  • Tooltip Crash Fix: Replaced an unstable API check that could cause Lua errors when mousing over certain players in the game world.

🛡️ Whitelist & Roster Fixes:

  • Self-Mute & Whitelist Fix: Fixed a critical API alignment bug where the addon was reading the wrong chat parameter for Player GUIDs, causing the Safety Whitelist to fail (and occasionally muting the user or their friends).
  • Battle.net Support: The Safety Whitelist now explicitly checks and protects your Battle.net friends, alongside character-level friends and guildmates.
  • Ignore Tab Fix: Fixed a bug in the Character Search UI where the Ignore tab button incorrectly said "Add to Ignore". It now correctly says "Remove Ignore" and successfully un-ignores the player from Blizzard's native C++ list when clicked.
  • Manual Mute Protection: Trying to manually mute a whitelisted friend via the Quick Mute box now properly blocks the action and prints a red warning.

🎨 UI & Interface Restorations:

  • GUI Engine Restored: Fixed an internal file formatting issue that caused the main AML dashboard, styles, and visual tooltips to disappear.
  • Dynamic Tooltips: The Universal Tooltip Scanner has been updated to fully recognize and provide instructions for the new Chat Search module and the updated Ignore List buttons.
