Know where your stuff is – on every character.

AltStash adds a short summary to every item tooltip showing how many of that item each of your characters owns and where it is stored. No more logging through all your alts to find that last stack of herbs or the cloth you swore you kept somewhere.

Features

Complete inventory tracking

• Per-character counts in the item tooltip, shown in class colors
• Breakdown by location: bags (including keyring), bank, mail, auction house and equipped items
• Guild bank stock, listed per guild
• Total line across all characters and guild banks

Smart and accurate

• Items you mail to your own alts are counted immediately, even before that alt logs in
• Mail expiry is tracked, and items that bounce back are never counted twice
• Sold or expired auctions drop out automatically
• Outdated data is marked with its age (e.g. 14d), so you always know how reliable a number is

Search and overview

• Search window (/as) that finds any item across all characters and guild banks
• Gold overview for all your characters, including a grand total
• Quick chat search with /as search <item>

Guild bank sharing

• AltStash users in the same guild automatically share guild bank data
• Members without guild bank access still see up-to-date counts

Your tooltip, your way

• Compact mode: show only the total, hold Shift for the full breakdown
• Hide your current character, show only your own faction, or include all realms
• Automatic cleanup of characters you haven’t logged in for a while, and of guilds you’ve left
• Full options panel in the game’s interface settings

Lightweight

• Scans only when your inventory changes, with throttling and per-item caching
• English and German localization

Getting started

Log in once on each character and open the bank, mailbox, auction house and guild bank once. AltStash remembers the contents and keeps them up to date from then on. Use /as list to see which characters still need a scan.

Commands

/as – open the search and gold window
/as search <text> – search items and print results to chat
/as list – list all tracked characters and guilds
/as options – open the options panel
/as compact – toggle compact tooltip mode
/as delete <Name> – remove a character (use Name-Realm for other realms)
/as delguild <Guild> – remove a stored guild bank
/as help – show all commands

Notes

• Only guild bank tabs you are allowed to view can be scanned.
• The game client only loads the first 50 messages of your inbox. Items beyond that are counted once you’ve cleared some space.
• Guild bank sharing only works between guild members who have AltStash installed. It can be turned off in the options.
