Alsuvius Better Callouts

Alsuvius Better Callouts (ABC) expands and customises raid callouts from Northern Sky Raid Tools (NSRT) and BigWigs, giving you much finer control over what you hear during encounters.

Features

NSRT Callout Customisation

• Assign custom countdown voices to player abilities and encounter alerts.
• Set a global default countdown voice for NSRT reminders.
• Choose which native WoW TTS voice NSRT uses for spoken reminders.
• Rename abilities before they are spoken by TTS.
• Mute individual TTS callouts.
• Mute individual countdowns.
• Replace reminder text with custom spoken text.

Current Note Editing

ABC reads your currently loaded NSRT note and lets you customise individual reminder entries directly.

You can:

• Change or mute TTS.
• Replace spoken text.
• Change or mute countdown voices.
• Batch-edit repeated reminders with the same callout.
• Edit repeated entries individually when needed.
• Reset all assignments associated with the currently loaded note.

BigWigs TTS Callouts

ABC can generate spoken callouts for BigWigs boss warnings using WoW's native text-to-speech system.

Options include:

• Enable or disable BigWigs TTS callouts.
• Choose the TTS voice.
• Adjust speech volume and rate.
• Speak ability names before or after countdowns.
• Allow or prevent overlapping TTS.
• Preview the selected voice.
• Run a test sequence from the addon options.

Voice Support

ABC supports:

• Native WoW TTS voices.
• BigWigs countdown voice packs.
• DBM countdown voice packs.

Countdown packs and native TTS voices are handled separately, allowing you to mix a prerecorded countdown voice with a completely different spoken TTS voice.

Designed for Raid Use

ABC is built around keeping callouts clear and useful during progression raiding. It includes self-healing NSRT hooks, reminder rescheduling support, cached lookups and optimised Current Note processing to minimise unnecessary work during combat.

The addon also includes /abc status, /abc repair and /abc ttstest diagnostic commands for troubleshooting integrations and WoW TTS.

Compatibility

Designed for modern Retail World of Warcraft and integrates with:

• BigWigs
• DBM countdown packs

NSRT is an optional integration rather than a hard dependency, so ABC can continue to support additional callout sources over time.

Notes

WoW's native TTS voice availability depends on the voices installed and exposed by your Windows/WoW setup.

If a TTS voice appears in the addon but produces no audio, test it directly with:

/abc ttstest

For NSRT integration diagnostics:

/abc status

If an NSRT update or another addon replaces one of ABC's hooks:

/abc repair
