v1.4.14
What's new
AkcQOL 1.4.14
Premade Groups: raid filter (new)
- The Filter menu of a raid search now has Normal / Heroic / Mythic checkboxes. Blizzard offers a difficulty filter for dungeons only — for raids the menu held nothing but the languages, and the server never filters raid listings by difficulty.
- It also has Blizzard's own Minimum Mythic+ Rating box, set up exactly like the dungeon one: groups whose leader is rated below the number disappear from the list.
- The rules are Blizzard's dungeon rules. Every difficulty starts ticked, a group is hidden only when its activity has a difficulty you unticked, and a leader without a rating counts as 0. Unticking the last difficulty ticks them all again, since hiding every difficulty would only empty the list.
- Nothing is hidden that cannot be read: a listing whose difficulty or rating is unavailable stays. If no listing in a search carries a rating at all, the rating step is skipped instead of emptying the list.
- Both filters apply to the list already on screen, so a change takes effect without a new search. Turn the whole thing off in On Screen → Premade Groups: Raid Filter.
Boss talent warning (new)
- Walk up to a raid boss on Normal, Heroic or Mythic and, if your talents are not that boss's build for your specialization and difficulty, a bar appears at the top of the screen: the boss and difficulty, a Load Build button and an X.
- The bar hides itself when combat starts and comes back when combat ends. X silences that boss for the session. Bosses you have already killed this week, and Raid Finder, never warn.
- Turn it off in Talent Helper → Boss Talent Warning.
Talent helper
- No more false "Talent load was cancelled". A build that actually landed was reported as cancelled whenever the game's commit came back refused; the load is now judged by the talents themselves.
- Far fewer "Unable to learn talent" refusals. Ranks and choice nodes are applied in several passes that re-check the tree between them, instead of in one blind pass.
- The active build's box lights up again. Talents the game grants for free were counted as spent, so the current build never matched the saved one.
- Rows sharing the same build string now light up together, raid and dungeon alike.
Log window
- Chat, mail, trade and loot logs run oldest to newest again. Only the Lua error log keeps the newest entry on top.
- The selected tab or row no longer swallows its own text. A full-size border texture sat above the background and painted over the label — fixed for chat tabs, the people list, the character list and the error log buttons.
- Battle.net whispers are stored with the sender's BattleTag, so they no longer read "Unknown" in a later session. Older entries, whose sender can no longer be resolved, are gathered under a single "Old BNet messages" entry.
- Mail taken with a modified click, or by a mailbox addon, is written to the mail log as well.
Interface, fonts and localization
- Settings dropdowns show Turkish characters properly, and Korean and Chinese clients get a font that actually carries their script. Widgets returned to the shared pool get their original font back, so other addons' menus are left alone.
- The Prey Hunts row counts the hunts you have taken, not the ones still available.
- The personal locator's "only in combat" mode appears again when combat starts.
- The action bar mouseover check no longer scans thirty button names ten times a second.
- The Power Infusion alert plays its sound on the Master channel, and its settings text now says plainly what the game does and does not allow in combat: the sound works, the screen and chat alerts cannot.
- More text translated across all 12 languages: combat number fonts and animations, chat log channel labels, search labels and raid progress difficulty names.
