AIU: Friends on the Map is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that displays your friends directly on the world map.

It supports both Battle.net friends and regular in-game World of Warcraft friends, making it easier to see where your friends are while playing.

If your friends do not have AIU: Friends on the Map installed, they will still be shown at a default position in the zone they are currently in. This gives you an approximate location, but not their exact position.

If your friends also use AIU: Friends on the Map, their position becomes much more precise, similar to how players are shown when you are in a group or raid together.
