VoiceOver Continued

Restores automatic AI quest and gossip voiceovers on modern WoW Classic clients using the existing AI VoiceOver Vanilla data pack.

VoiceOver Continued is a compatibility-focused continuation of the AI VoiceOver addon for modern World of Warcraft Classic clients.

Recent Classic client and addon API changes prevented the original player from loading data and automatically playing quest dialogue. VoiceOver Continued updates the player while continuing to use the existing AI VoiceOverData Vanilla sound pack.

• Does not duplicate the large voiceover sound pack.

Requirements

You must install and enable both:

• VoiceOver Continued
• AI VoiceOverData Vanilla

The original AI VoiceOver player should be disabled. Do not disable or rename the Vanilla data addon.

Installation

Extract the following folders directly into your game's Interface/AddOns directory:

AI_VoiceOver_Continued
AI_VoiceOverData_Vanilla

Enable VoiceOver Continued and AI VoiceOverData Vanilla from the character-selection AddOns menu, then enter the game.

Commands

/vo

Displays the available VoiceOver commands.

/vo diagnostics

Displays client, data-module, playback, and compatibility information.

/vo test

Plays a known test voice line to verify that the sound pack and audio channel are working.

/vo read

Manually reads the currently visible quest if automatic playback does not trigger.

Compatibility

VoiceOver Continued is designed and tested for:

• WoW Classic Era 1.15.9
• Interface version 11509

Additional TOCs are included for other client branches, but Classic Era is the primary tested target for this release.

Troubleshooting

If voiceovers do not play:

1. Confirm that AI VoiceOverData Vanilla is installed and enabled.
2. Disable the original AI VoiceOver player.
3. Run /reload.
4. Run /vo test.
5. Run /vo diagnostics and confirm that the data module reports loaded.

Credits

VoiceOver Continued is based on the original AI VoiceOver player and maintained community work. It reuses the separately installed AI VoiceOver Vanilla data module and does not redistribute its audio files.
