v1.1.23
What's new
October 18, 2026 (v1.1.23)
- The site menu on every page links to the ahprice Discord. Download adds Questions or bugs? Join the Discord.
- Stars on Prices, Flips, and Disenchants at ahprice.com are saved for your browser only.
October 18, 2026 (v1.1.22)
- The ahprice window uses less memory when it rebuilds your in-game price history.
- Insights and Flips reuse a price summary for a couple of minutes, then refresh as soon as a new scan is stored.
October 18, 2026 (v1.1.21)
- When the ahprice window uploads a scan, it says how many new prices went to the group — same style as picking up scans from other players.
- Prices that arrived without a name (shown as Item 35 and the like) get the real Wowhead Forever name on ahprice.com once the shared host fills them in.
October 17, 2026 (v1.1.20)
- Download now offers Windows, macOS, and Linux packages from ahprice.com (setup, Install.command zip, and install.sh tarball).
- Release builds publish all three automatically with SHA-256 hashes in latest.json.
- The ahprice window can prompt for updates on macOS and Linux as well as Windows.
- In-game helper tips point at the Download page for every system.
October 17, 2026 (v1.1.19)
- Cloud Agent helper runs no longer count toward the private /stats helper totals.
October 17, 2026 (v1.1.18)
- Download lists Windows, macOS, and Linux side by side. The Windows setup is ready now; macOS and Linux packages are marked in progress.
- Home, About, and the site download bar no longer say the product is Windows-only.
October 17, 2026 (v1.1.18)
- Windows installs and auto-updates only include the addon and the local ahprice window; the public website stays on ahprice.com.
October 17, 2026 (v1.1.17)
- The server menu only lists WoW Forever realms. A scan for any other server name is ignored.
- Placeholder rows such as Audit item are deleted from the shared database when the site updates, and later scans for them are ignored.
- A first visit opens on Classic Beta PvP 2 · Alliance when that realm is in the menu.
- The CurseForge changelog lists these same notes.
October 17, 2026 (v1.1.17)
- Auction house item tooltips use the same market lines as bags (no separate listing-vs-average or posted ladder lines).
- Percentages use one color scale everywhere: green under the market average, red over it (softer near 0%, stronger as they move away).
- Download shows the latest release version in large type next to the setup button.
- The product version is always taken from the addon TOC (stale version.txt files no longer win).
October 16, 2026 (v1.1.16)
- Larger auction scans upload to the shared list again (Forever save files had grown past the old size cap, and the window wrongly said the internet was down).
October 16, 2026 (v1.1.16)
- The site header shows when the latest scan arrived again (it had been stuck on No scans yet after a server update).
- The ahprice window no longer crashes when saving a scan or talking to the shared list after the recent server package split.
October 16, 2026 (v1.1.16)
- Every page now has a Download bar, so it is easier to get from prices to the Windows setup.
- Download explains the Windows SmartScreen warning next to the setup button, with a copyable SHA-256 and an Also on CurseForge link.
October 16, 2026 (v1.1.16)
- Home and Download show what the ahprice window looks like, so it is clearer that the colored status lines are normal.
October 15, 2026 (v1.1.16)
- The ahprice window opens with a short colored welcome, and status lines stay plain English (ok / wait / tip) so it is clearer that it is safe to leave open while you play.
- The home page no longer says cheap cloth is green.
- Private /stats is a dashboard: top pages, visitors, downloads, and helpers.
October 14, 2026 (v1.1.15)
- On login the game says when the ahprice window is not running. It tells you how to install it, or how to start it if you already have it.
- Download, About, and Home keep marketing cards in even rows, with a full-width intro instead of a leftover card on the left.
- The game asks you to update only when a new addon release is published, not when the website alone changes.
- Scans anyone sends to the shared list are checked and rate-limited so junk cannot flood the site.
- Setup no longer asks to install for another World of Warcraft folder after it finishes. Run setup again if you want a second client.
- Each News entry shows the release it shipped with.
- Prices, Flips, Insights, and Disenchants always use one realm and faction. Alliance and Horde are not mixed.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.13)
- Insights ranks crafts on the market average, not a single inflated listing. Buyout-and-relist spikes are left off this board.
- A suggestion has to stay profitable at that average, with enough listed and enough scan history.
- Insights can be limited to one profession, the same way Flips can.
- Insights lists every craft that passes the trust filters, not only the top eight.
- Clicking an Insights card opens the numbers for that craft.
- Insights uses a cheaper intermediate craft when buying the cloth and making the bolt beats buying the bolt.
- The Insights profession list is a dropdown, like the server menu.
- If a vendor sells a reagent for less than the auction house, Insights uses the vendor price. Ice Cold Milk is the usual example.
- In game, /ahprice options turns tooltip lines and the vs mkt avg column on or off. The same toggles are under Esc > Options > AddOns.
- The Flips page intro is shorter.
- Insights lists each buy or craft step on its own line.
- Insight material column headings line up with the numbers.
- The home page shows a scan in less than 10 seconds, and that you join a network of gold makers.
- Each page has a search title and description, and the site has a sitemap for crawlers.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.11)
- The Download page offers AHPriceSetup.exe only, with SHA-256 and VirusTotal for the installer.
- There is no public source zip on the site. In-game updates use a separate update manifest.
- Install files use no-store caching so the hash on the page matches the file you download.
- The price window only runs Wowhead icon backfill on the server, not on every player's PC.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.8)
- News lists what changed.
- Install files are served only from ahprice.com/download with a latest.json manifest.
- The addon list shows a gold coin for ahprice.
- On login the game says when a newer release is available. /ahprice update, then /reload, installs it. The same command reinstalls the current release.
- Setup asks for the game folder, such as classic_beta, and says ahprice is only tested and usable on WoW Forever.
- About explains what ahprice is.
- The site uses the ahprice wordmark in copy and in the header.
- The site is a dark layout. Links and cards lift slightly when you hover them.
- Item names show the Wowhead icon. The icon name comes from the item id, and the newest scans are filled in first.
- The home page shows an in-game tooltip. About shows an example price chart.
- The home page is the product page. Prices is the shared list.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.7)
- The site says how long ago the latest scan was received.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.6)
- The Download page is in the site menu.
- Setup lists each game folder it finds, and can remove ahprice from one folder.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.5)
- Install files are public on ahprice.com/download only; the git repo is private.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.4)
- The Server menu limits Prices, Flips, Disenchants, and Insights to one realm and faction.
- The installer has an icon. Setup downloads a private copy of Python when one is not already installed.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.3)
- Scans are shared at https://ahprice.com.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.2)
- The ahprice window labels a local scan, a send, and a receive.
October 12, 2026 (v1.1.0)
- Windows setup installs the addon and the ahprice window, and asks before a newer release.
- Every install shares one price list. Hosted history is kept for six months.
- The market average weighs recent prices more. A price from 7 days ago counts half as much as one from today.
September 30, 2026 (v1.0.0)
- Tooltips and the site show a disenchant value, the vendor price, and how many other characters have the item.
September 28, 2026 (v1.0.0)
- ahprice records auction prices and keeps the history in the addon.
