Aggro Target Indicator is an simple and intuitive addon designed for players who want to effectively manage aggro during combat, especially in group content such as raids and dungeons. This addon is an invaluable tool for tanks, but it also benefits DPS and healers by providing clear, real-time insights into the dynamics of a fight, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
 
What Does It Do?
 
Addon displays visual icons beneath enemy nameplates to indicate which role (Tank, DPS, or Healer) the enemy is currently targeting. The addon uses distinct icons to represent each role:
  • Tank: A shield icon (representing a tank target).
  • DPS: Dual swords icon (representing a DPS target).
  • Healer: A cross icon (representing a healer target).
  • No Target: A question mark icon (when the enemy has no target).
When playing as a tank, the addon provides additional feedback through sound alerts and on-screen warnings whenever an enemy switches its target from the tank to a DPS or healer. This allows tanks to react quickly to regain aggro and protect their group.
 
Why Use Aggro Target Indicator?
 
In group content, managing aggro is critical to success. Tanks need to know immediately when they lose aggro to prevent DPS or healers from taking damage, while other roles benefit from understanding which enemies are focused on them. Aggro Target Indicator simplifies this process.
