AEVON
Azeroth Enhanced Visuals, Overlays & Navigation
Your interface. Your adventure. One connected toolkit for WoW Forever.
AEVON brings questing, navigation, inventory, auctions, combat displays and communication together in a modular interface. Dark anthracite surfaces, fine bronze edges and original game icons give the tools a consistent look without turning every part of your screen into a panel.
Formerly CLOX-Forever. This is the same project with a new identity, a new AEVON addon folder, and a one-time migration for existing CLOX settings.
Current update: 0.548 (Release). Check the Files tab for availability and approval status. Built for Forever 1.60.1, audited against client build 70450. It is not a compatibility claim for every WoW edition or every newer build.

An Interface That Fits Your Character
- A shared layout editor for supported HUD elements and addon windows, with movement, previews, dimensions, scale, fonts, colors and transparency controls.
- Dark, compact windows with bronze outlines and recognizable button states. Choose the supported WoW or AEVON appearance for individual elements.
- Player, target and companion styling that preserves native interaction and saved layouts unless you explicitly edit them.
- Health, resources, experience, rested XP and reputation displays; original gold, silver and copper icons rather than letter abbreviations.
- Configurable enemy and member nameplates with health values, levels, casts, resources, aura rows, combo points and quest progress where public data permits.
- Enable the modules you need. Existing profiles and functional choices are retained rather than reset each time you change the design.
Keep Your Next Objective In Sight
- A compact quest tracker with objectives, progress, difficulty colors, distances, sorting and current-zone or all-quest views.
- Quest-log tracking checkboxes also control whether a quest appears in the AEVON list. Completed quests stay in their category until turned in.
- Quest-item buttons and map markers for supported objectives, available quests, turn-ins and services.
- Optional group-quest information when the client supplies usable public data; show your own or group needs without replacing normal target clicks.
- A compact level-up popup with the level transition, attribute gains and newly learnable abilities from available training information.
Maps, Waypoints And Navigation
- A connected map with category filters for quest content, services, flight masters, ships, gathering and other supported points of interest.
- Right-click waypoints connected to navigation, without duplicate destination icons. Directional guidance, distance indicators and world markers keep the selected destination visible.
- Flight points use blue for confirmed activation and green when activation is not confirmed. Revealing map terrain does not unlock flight points. Visit a flight master to provide the native flight-network information.
- Choose a round or square minimap. Supported addon-button placement follows the selected perimeter, including the corners of the square form.
- Optional nearby herb observations while native tracking is active. These are local client observations, not guaranteed zone-wide live gathering locations.
- Corpse navigation can restore the previous destination after resurrection.
Navigation is guidance, not automatic character movement. Objective positions, route coverage and flight status depend on available data. Unknown information is not a promise that a route or flight connection is usable.

One Backpack, Real Bag Capacity
- Combined backpack contents alongside a collapsible equipment panel, animated character model and expandable character attributes.
- Native item use, dragging, stack splitting and supported modifier actions stay available. The view does not create extra bag slots or merge bank storage.
- Categories display items once. The contents grid retains real slot capacity; category-reserved cells are inactive placeholders, not additional free space.
- Persistent per-item rules: Automatic → Keep → Sell, cycled by middle click. Keep is an unconditional AEVON auto-sale protection, including against Alt overrides. Rules apply to every copy of that item ID.
- Manual layouts retain explicit destination cells rather than automatically collapsing intentional gaps.
- Red icon tint for native unmet item requirements when available, including level, class or profession restrictions. The same requirement feedback is available in auction results.
Auction Tools Without Losing Control
- Advanced search with supported name, usability, quality and range filters.
- Grouped results start collapsed; you decide what to open. Background metadata checks do not need to expand every group.
- Item comparisons, price lookups, remembered auction duration, favorites, search history and shopping-list tools.
- Purchase confirmations and offer revalidation remain in place. AEVON does not remove server query limits or promise faster server responses.
Your Conversations, Together
AEVON Messenger uses four clear top-level views:
- Whispers: private conversations, message history and friend suggestions when starting a new conversation.
- Guilds: guild conversations listed by guild name on the left.
- Channel: public channels and supported party, raid or instance chats.
- Combat Log: a separate view of client-formatted combat-log output.
The normal WoW chat button opens the Messenger. A red unread counter and a short fading preview highlight private and guild messages. Original chat frames and tabs can be hidden together; /aevonchat restores the original chat view.
No addon-advert invitation links, sent-invitation badges, duplicate bottom navigation or separate Messenger settings menu. If the standalone Whisper Messenger addon is enabled, AEVON avoids starting a second message engine.
Combat Feedback And Everyday Tools
- Damage, DPS, healing and HPS views, plus a separate threat meter.
- Spell-detail tooltips with attack icons and aligned ability, share and amount columns. Supported meter bars show the displayed share and fade at the end.
- Searchable training information, upcoming abilities and available costs.
- Optional danger warnings, quest acceptance/turn-in, selling and repairs. Quest reward choices remain manual.
- Diagnostics and opt-in performance measurements, with separate views for reports and measured operations.
Combat restrictions, protected values, cursor state, bank boundaries, native security rules and purchase confirmations still apply. AEVON has no global Shift pause; normal WoW modifier actions are preserved.

Moving From CLOX To AEVON
- Exit WoW completely and keep your existing SavedVariables files.
- Extract all three folders from the new archive into the Forever client's Interface/AddOns folder: AEVON, CLOX-Forever and CLOX-Forever-BETA.
- Enable AEVON and the migration helper for your previous CLOX edition before logging in. These legacy folders now load data only, not a second interface.
- On the first login with legacy data loaded, AEVON copies the relevant settings, profiles, rules, maps, navigation and Messenger data into its new storage.
If both old editions contain data, the current CLOX BETA takes precedence. Existing AEVON values are never overwritten. Old data is copied rather than deleted, renamed or shared by reference. No direct WTF-file editing is performed.
Character data migrates per character. Keep the helpers available until all characters you want to migrate have logged in successfully. The helpers can then be disabled. Do not enable a full old CLOX runtime alongside AEVON.
For a fresh installation, simply start AEVON and select your modules.
Getting Started
/aevon opens settings. /aevonmsg opens the Messenger. /aevonchat toggles the original chat. The existing /clox, /cloxmsg and /cloxchat commands remain aliases.
Use the layout editor for appearance and placement, and the settings window for module functions. Integrated action bars remain experimental and retain their initial safety opt-out; standalone Nox-Bars pauses the integrated controller. Avoid multiple addons controlling the same bars, tracker or collectible effects.
Testing, Feedback And Credits
Automated behavior, migration and package tests are performed before building. They are not a substitute for a complete in-game combat, taint, visual or route acceptance test. Include your AEVON version, WoW build, reproduction steps and error text when reporting problems. Remove private chat and personal information from screenshots before sharing them.
AEVON includes adapted OpenMap and Whisper Messenger components under their retained MIT licenses. Other bundled source, data and font attributions remain in the package notices. Third-party data is not claimed as original AEVON work; attribution itself is not a redistribution license.
