Allows you to have BoE and BoA categories in AdiBags.
does this need an update?
In reply to Niselma30:
Great filter. Would it be possible to create one that seperates Trinkets into a sub-section of "Jewelry"?
And Back/Cloak pieces from the "Cloth" section, since they are universal?
I think it's doable by making some changes to the code around the lines of:
for i = 1,6 do
if self.db.profile.enableBoE and t == ITEM_BIND_ON_EQUIP then
Sounds like this would be the job of a more general filter addon. Something you could generally add lua conditions for, to include into your own predefined containers. Otherwise we'll just have a ton of filter addons for every little thing someone wants. I'll think about this some more.
It's finally updated!
I am so sorry everyone! For some reason I do not receive notifications from curse, and I had completely forgot about this addon. I have updated it to 6.0.3 with help from this thread and Spanky (http://www.curse.com/users/spanky0312).
Due to the changes in ADibags 1.8 this is dead unless someone a lot smarter than me figures out how to get around the LIB changes.
Fortantly you can still use ADI 1.7.X with this and the fixes mentioned in the comments.
Looks like you need to maintain the changes sugested by Sireebob and remove some code:
This fixed the issue for me. Apparently, in his 1.8.0 (beta) changelog he replaced AceEvent-3.0 and AceBucket-3.0 with a homebrewed implementation. I'm not a coder or addon writer, just took a wild guess that the name of something no longer being used needed to be removed and I was right.
actually change AceEvent-3.0 to ABEvent-1.0, managed to pull out out of the offical adibags_outfitter, doing a before and after comparrison when it was broke by the homebrew change, . popped it in and no more error message
not particularly sure what those do. but it works :P
At the moment I think that installing this addon to adibags brakes the junkfilter for grey loot. They now show up in between my equipment. I would love to see that greys, even though they are technically "BOE" show up under junk.
The addon doesn't work with items in the main bank panel. An heirloom in the main bank would not get grouped into the BOA category. It works fine for items in bags, including bank bags. It took me awhile to debug it but I came up with the following patch. Replace the line with SetBagItem with this:
if slotData.bag == BANK_CONTAINER then tooltip:SetInventoryItem("player", BankButtonIDToInvSlotID(slotData.slot, nil)) else tooltip:SetBagItem(slotData.bag, slotData.slot) end
This is a very helpful addon for me. Unfortunately, it does not work now that the ItemLevel is visible on your equipment's tooltips, because it only scans the first two lines of the tooltip, aka the name and - in this case - the ItemLevel. (Quite inefficiently, in the World of Warcraft Programming Interface, the only way to check whether an item "Binds when equipped" is to load and search its tooltip, which is why this functionality was never incorporated into the original addon.) To fix this, change the code to scan the first three lines.
Open up AdiBags_Bound.lua, find lines 39 and 83, and change both of those instances of "for i=1,2 do" to "for i=1,3 do". (Spacing doesn't matter, here.) This should fix the problem. I am not an experienced add-on developer, so I am not sure if there are relevant circumstances in which the "Binds when equipped" line is even lower on the tooltip. You can always make it "for i=1,4.." or "5.." or higher if you notice problems. This may slow down processing, but probably to a negligible extent.
OMG, thank you so much!
I agree, thanks so much!! :D
Any chance of getting an update to this to make it work? I'd love to be able to see which items in my bags are BOE so I know what to send off to my AH mule easier/faster. I've looked at the LUA and can't see anything obvious as to why it isn't working.
The BOA works, but BOE does not. I've tried changing my equipment / armor filter settings and no change I make seems to enable this to function.
I would love to know if there's a way to sort items by expansion... I've been running all the old instances and raids to finish up achievements and some xmog sets, and some way other than sorting all the cloth gear (I'm a mage) in an ilvl heirarcy would be wonderful
Same as Qebm. Was really excited about trying this one out too!
Just tried to install this and it doesn't seem to work (in 5.1) - is there an update please?
Does it actually work? I can see the filter on the config menu, but the bag window is unaffected
