Action Bar Sync

Synchronize selected action bars between your characters.

This addon was or did start out with a simple plan...just sync selected action bars from one-to-many characters. And it does it! But functionality expanded as I learned about action bars. This addon will not likely ever let you build action bars like Bartender. No reason to duplicate Bartender's functionality since it exists. I also hope, with Midnight, they don't change the action bar functionality much.

To open the addon use one of the slash commands:

/actionbarsync
/abs

Or, use the soon to be added (12/31/2025 maybe) minimap button! Left click to open the addon UI or right click to open the options. LibDBOption-1.0 is required for the minimap button.

First some definitions:

Source Character: A character which has action bars you want to share with other characters.
Target Character - A character which will receive action bar data from one or more source characters.

Functionality:

Select which Action Bars to sync on Source Characters.
Select which Action Bars to sync on Target Characters.
Lookup actions. Actions are mounts, pets, macros, spells and items. Flyout's are a work in progress.
View sync errors for the current logged on character. Use the lookup section to do further research on the failures.

Known Issues/FAQ

If an action button does not sync and an error for the same button isn't on the Sync Error tab, it means the action can't be picked up and placed through Blizzard's API via this addon. Trying to figure out how to capture pickup or placement failures.
To help resolve the above issue, be sure to open all sources of action bar buttons in order for the game to load data into the game memory so the WoW API can access it. For example, if you have a toy on an action button, open your toy box. You won't see any addon or WoW errors, but the addon won't be able to capture or place the toy on the action button and no errors will be recorded. All sources could be spells, items, toys, mounts, pets and macros. If you forget to do this, just try syncing again after opening all game content.

IMPORTANT! Just starting this project so maybe wait for v1 to be released? Happy to have you use a pre-release version (alpha, beta) if you like. Open issues on Github please.
