This project aims to re-skin WoT tank Cromwell
so it will reassemble look of the General Maczek’s Cromwell nicknamed “Hela”
The British A27M Cruiser Tank VIII Cromwell – General’s Maczek’s favourite tank.
General Stanisław Maczek used this type of vehicle, affectionately nicknamed “Hela” as his mobile command centre in 1944 – 1945.
The Cromwell tank (model A27L Centaur Mk I, type C, QF 6-pounder gun) was produced in August 1943 in Great Britain. The tanks were used by the 1st Armoured Division commanded by General Stanisław Maczek, including by the 10th Regiment of Mounted Riflemen. This military unit completed the entire combat route from Normandy to Wilhelmshaven. The tanks were also used in Great Britain for training purposes by the 16th Armoured Brigade. After the end of World War Two, the UK handed over several dozen Cromwell tanks to Portugal...
