This has been moved to the SWL specific projects on curse.
Truly stupendous mod. Thank you.
You might want to think about using a different map icon for the champions mobs. Using the same yellow icon that they show up as on the mini map makes it hard to see if they are there if they are standing right where the map icon is.
A lot of people suggested I use the regular champion icon. If there is enough of a request for a different icon I will gladly look into it.
The mod doesn't work anymore after the last patch!
Please go over the README again and insure the mod was installed to the right location.
Only the icons end up in "Secret World Legends/Data/Gui/Default", if the waypoint files are placed there they will be overridden with each update.
I think you have draculesti and deathless 5 mixed around in the shadowy forest. deathless 5 is in completelly the wrong place even
This should now be corrected in version 2.1.
I can't get it to work for me on steam. I go to steam apps/common/Secret World Legends/Data/Gui. When I get there, there are three folders.
All of these folders have a waypoints folder's but the default folder has the .xml files. I tried deleting the source .xml files and replacing them with the addon files but that didn't work.
Anyone on steam that has been able to install this properly?
Please re-read the README that is the wrong location to be installing the waypoints.
To install waypoints:
1: Locate your custom waypoint folder.
default locaiton: "%localappdata%\Funcom\SWL\Prefs\[SWL Username]\Waypoints"
2: Copy the .xml files from the All folder of choice to the custom waypoint folder.
Note: If you have custom waypoints, please refer to the merging section of the readme.
3: Delete the .bxml files.
4: Start game and enjoy.
To install custom icons:
1: Copy the contents in the Icons folder to Data\Gui\Default folder.
Just a quick note, I'm on a much needed vacation, sadly that means I am no wear near a PC capable of playing SWL for any decent length of time. Tokyo Lore will be a bit delayed because of this.
Thanks for this, combined with LoreHound I've been cleaning up a lot of stuff I left behind. Really helps.
I went inside the building for the t8 Mortal Sins mission and my icons reverted back to the normal ones.
Reinstalling the icons and restarting did not fix it. I had to reinstall all the waypoints again.
If you set/delete/edit any waypoints in-game, it will remove the customer icon tag as well as completely trash the file formatting.
I'm on steam, this worked to ? because i don't have %LocalAppData% and i don't find the file "Prefs"
I am not entirely sure of the question here. However the mod does work on the steam version.
%localappdata% is a windows file explorer shortcut to jump to the AppData/Local folder for the currently logged in user.
I use steam. Appdata\Funcom\SWL and its in there.
That's not correct, it's the same place on or off Steam, and as Laselin said above %LocalAppData% is a Windows Explorer shortcut that works for all users
%LocalAppData% = [DRIVE LETTER]:\Users\[WINDOWS USERNAME]\AppData\Local
Where the [SQUARE BRACKETS] change for every user
You also missed out the "Local" folder in your path.
Putting this in the Windows Explorer, works for everybody, where the true path is user specific
Only I can use, the actual path on my PC
Everybody can use the shortcut
I wrote this then spotted other post, may as well post it for those new to modding.
To fix this yourself, if using v1.3, until mods updated
The "All" folder is missing a file, in the Custom set.
PF5140.xml : Hell Raised
It's Present in;
Lassies_Waypoints_v1_3\Custom Icons Waypoints\Dungeons\Solomon Island\PF5140.xml
Just copy the missing folder to
%LocalAppData%\Funcom\SWL\Prefs\[YOUR SWL USERNAME]\Waypoints
with the correct SWL Username inserted, entering the above path in explorer's address bar, will find the correct folder, whatever the windows username is, and whichever drive it's on.
Alternatively copy it too the extracted "All" folder here
Lassies_Waypoints_v1_3\Custom Icons Waypoints\All
Then make a new archive with the fix, for easy reuse
An easy fix if spotted, but most wil just copy the "All" folder contents to their Waypoints folder, as I originally did, and not notice the ommission.
Yea Ayjia pointed out my mistake it will be fixed with the Whispering Tide update. Hopefully I'll have locations for them before too long.
Fixed in version 1.4.
