Description
CritMatic is a per-ability personal-best tracker for Elder Scrolls Online. It records the biggest critical hit and the biggest normal hit you have ever dealt with every skill, weapon attack, and damage-over-time tick, keeps those records between play sessions, surfaces them on every ESO ability tooltip, and fires a high-visibility Alert the moment you set a new personal record.
Features
- Per-ability records. Every skill, light attack, heavy attack, and damage-over-time tick gets its own pair of records: biggest crit and biggest normal hit. Damage-shielded and blocked-damage results count toward your records too.
- Records on every Skill ability tooltip. Hover any ability in the Skills window, on the action bar, in the morph picker, on a slotted skill, or anywhere ESO renders an ability tooltip and CritMatic appends your personal-best crit and hit for that ability, in gold, right under the base tooltip text.
- Persistent storage. Records save between sessions. Per-character by default, with an account-wide toggle in the settings panel.
- Live HUD Crit Log. A native-looking, movable widget with a gold-ring medallion header that lists your best hits with ability icons, so you can glance at it mid-fight. Scrollable, configurable row count, and you can right-click any row to ignore that ability.
- New-record Alert. When you beat a record, an on-screen banner with the ability icon and the new value scales in, holds, and fades out, with separate configurable sounds for crit and normal-hit records, configurable duration, and a full font picker (custom font pipeline ships with Anton by default).
- Native ESO look. Built with ESO fonts and frame chrome so it sits in the base UI like it shipped with the game.
- Light and heavy attacks tracked by default. Toggle them off in settings if you want abilities only. A separate Crits-only mode skips normal-hit records entirely.
- Ignore list. Right-click any row in the Crit Log to ignore that ability. Ignored abilities are skipped in combat and hidden from the log. The full list (with Unignore buttons) lives in the settings panel.
- Group chat share. When you set a new record while in a party / raid / battleground, optionally auto-prefill your party chat with the new record line. ESO does not allow addons to send chat automatically, so you press Enter to send.
- Slash commands.
/critmaticor/cmtoggles the log. Subcommands:show, reset, test, test crit, test hit, dump, share. Settings open with/critmaticopts. - Keybinds. Toggle the Crit Log, scroll it up, scroll it down, and open CritMatic settings directly from ESO's Controls UI.
- LibAddonMenu-2.0 settings panel. Tracking toggles, Alert style (font, size, outline, duration), crit and normal-hit sound pickers with live preview, Crit Log row count, ignore list management, one-click reset of all records, and clickable Discord / Buy Me A Coffee links.
Why CritMatic?
ESO has plenty of full DPS meters, but nothing dedicated to the simple loop of "did I just beat my personal best on this ability?" CritMatic does exactly that, with low overhead and a clean, native look.
