🪓 What does this mod do?

For years, that pile of logs against the side of your farmhouse has just been sitting there, looking pretty but doing nothing. Wood Pile Storage turns that cosmetic

decoration into a fully functional, smart storage unit for your Wood and Hardwood.

It is designed for maximum convenience. You never have to manually open the menu to deposit wood—the mod does it for you!

 Features

• Auto-Deposit (Vacuum Mode): Simply walk within 2 tiles of the wood pile. The mod will automatically detect Wood and Hardwood in your inventory and stack it into the pile.

• Immersive Feedback: You'll hear a satisfying sound and see floating text (e.g., "+50 Wood Stored") whenever items are added.

• Withdrawal: Need wood for crafting? Right-click the pile to open the menu and take what you need.

• Safety Cooldown: After you close the menu, the "Auto-Deposit" pauses for 20 in-game minutes (approx. 15 real-time seconds). This ensures you can withdraw wood and walk away without the pile immediately stealing it back!

• Withdraw-Only Menu:  Manual input is disabled. The only way to put wood in is via the proximity auto-deposit.

• Visual Indicator: The cursor changes to a "Grab" hand when hovering over the wood pile so you know it's interactive.

2.0 Update added :

• Added GMCM: You can now configure the mod in-game using Generic Mod Config Menu (GMCM), including toggling Auto-Deposit on or off.

• Manual Deposit: You can now manually click Wood and Hardwood in your inventory to store them.

• Customizable Range: Added a slider to adjust how close you need to be for the wood pile to automatically grab your items (1–10 tiles).

2.1 Update added : 

• Resource Storage: Added a new configuration option to allow storing general resources (like Stone, Clay, and Coal) in the pile alongside your wood.
• Trash Storage: Added a new configuration option to allow storing trash items (like Driftwood and Broken CDs), making post-fishing cleanup much faster.

 Installation

• [] Unzip the WoodPileStorage folder into your Stardew Valley/Mods folder.

 F.A.Q.

Q: Can I store other items here?
A: No. To keep the immersion, this storage is strictly for Wood and Hardwood.

Q: I took wood out, but I want to put it back immediately. How?
A: Just wait 15 seconds for the cooldown to expire, or walk away and come back. The auto-deposit will kick in again.

Q: Does this work with upgraded houses?
A: Yes! The interaction area is calculated relative to your front door, so it works on the starter house and upgrades.
