Description
Inspired by Settled's Tileman series, this mod restricts your farmer's movement to tiles you've unlocked. Use a new Unveiling Glass tool to purchase tiles and permanently unlock the ability to walk on them. Forge your own path and decide which tiles you unlock along the way in this restriction challenge mode.
Installation instructions
1. Unzip the mod.
2. Add the unzipped folder to your Mods folder.
3. Start unlocking tiles!
Main features
Tiles
All tiles in the game start locked, and all farmers start with an Unveiling Glass used to unlock them. Once a tile is unlocked, it remains unlocked permanently. The cost of tiles increases as tiles are purchased, starting at 10g each, and increasing up to 10,000g each.
Bonus Tiles
Free tile unlocks (bonus tiles) can be earned by adding items to the community center, or by donating items to the museum. Once accrued, bonus tiles make subsequent tile unlocks free, until they are all used up. Bonus tiles do not contribute to the price increase of normally-purchased tiles.
What about my existing saves?
Existing saves are unaffected, and only new saves (when the config option is enabled) will be tile-locked. Tile-locked saves stay tile-locked permanently (unless you uninstall the mod).
Multiplayer
This mod supports multiplayer out of the box with no additional configuration required. Each farmer receives their own Unveiling Glass to unlock tiles. Unlocked tiles and bonus tiles are shared between all players.
Configurable Options
The following options can be configured as you desire:
- Visual settings (tile overlay toggle, colors, etc)
- Tile cost (how many tiles can be purchased for 10g, 100g, etc.)
- Bonus tiles received from CC, museum, etc.
- And more!
Requirements
- (REQUIRED) Content Patcher must be installed for the mod to function correctly.
- (Optional) Generic Mod Config Menu can be installed to allow configuration options to be edited using the in-game settings menu.
