Real Time Valley

Real-Time Valley syncs the in-game clock to your real clock, so the day always matches when you’re actually playing.

Safe to uninstall anytime. Removing it just disables the features.

What it does

  • Your clock becomes your real clock. If it’s 2:50 PM for you, it will be 2:50 PM in-game too.
  • No “everyone is still in bed” problem. If you load a save in the afternoon, the game will quickly “catch up” so shops, doors, and daily routines behave like it’s actually that time, instead of acting like it’s still morning.
  • Festivals won’t look empty.  This mod avoids that by keeping the clock inside the festival hours until you’ve had a chance to go to the festival area and see the festival properly.
  • Villagers follow the current time. After syncing, villagers refresh what they should be doing, so they don’t stay asleep or act like it’s the wrong part of the day.

New 1.3:

  • Night Clamp added: if On, If you play late at night in real life, the clock won’t push past Stardew’s late-night limits, so your in-game day wont pass out between 2am to 6am. if off, then your game simulates real life, your game will pass out until real world reaching 6 am
  • Machine Acceleration added: Furnaces, kegs, jars, and other machines can now process faster (toggleable), so real-time clock sync won’t make crafting and production take forever. thanks Maver1ckGaming

Important notes (so you don’t get surprised)

  • Crops: Crops still grow the normal way. They grow when days pass in-game, not just because the clock changes.
If you never sleep, days won’t advance, so crops won’t progress either. This is intentional to keep things consistent and predictable.
  • Festivals: On a festival day, if your real time is already past the festival hours, the mod may “hold” the clock during festival time so the festival actually appears when you go there.
After the festival starts, the mod stops changing time until it’s over.

Recommended settings

  • Keep Minute-accurate clock ON for the most natural real-time feeling.
  • Keep Festival-friendly mode ON to avoid empty festival maps.

Save safety (read this)

This mod does not rewrite your save file or permanently change your items, maps, or characters. If you remove the mod later, your save should still load normally.
However, because it changes how time flows, you may see gameplay side effects (for example: missing a time-window cutscene for that day, or festivals being held at festival time until you attend). This isn’t save corruption, it’s just how time-based game logic works.
If you’re cautious, test it on a backup save first.

Compatibility

Any mod that changes time speed, day length, schedules, or festivals may conflict. If something feels off, try disabling other time-related mods first.
