Overview

Do you pride yourself on your fishing skills? Perfect Catch Streak rewards your precision by tracking consecutive perfect catches. The higher your streak, the more bonus Fishing XP you earn! One mistake (or a lost fish) and the streak resets. Can you beat your all-time high score?

Features

• Streak Counter: Every "Perfect" catch increases your current streak.
• Scaling XP Bonus: Earn a base XP bonus plus additional XP for every level of your streak.
• Record Tracking: The mod automatically saves your All-Time Best Streak to the config file.

1.1 Update added

• Treasure Bonus: Successfully capturing a treasure chest now secures your streak even if the fish catch itself was not perfect.
• Flexible Progression: If you choose to ignore or miss a treasure, your streak will still continue as long as you land the fish with a perfect rating.
  
  
  
  
  How it Works
  
  
  • Start Fishing: Catch any fish.
  • Stay Perfect: If the "Perfect!" text appears at the end of the minigame, your streak increases.
  • Earn Rewards: You will receive a notification and a bonus to your Fishing skill XP.
  • Don't Slip Up: If you catch a fish but it wasn't perfect, or if the fish gets away, your streak resets to zero.
    
    
    
   
  How to Configure Your Mod
  
  After running the game once with the mod installed, a config.json file will be created inside the Mods/PerfectCatchStreak folder. You can open this file with any text editor (like Notepad) to change how the mod behaves.

  • Locate the file: Go to Stardew Valley/Mods/PerfectCatchStreak/config.json.
  • Open it: Right-click the file and select Open With > Notepad.
  • Edit the values: Change the numbers or "true/false" words.
    
    • Example: To get way more XP, change "XPPerStreakLevel": 2 to "XPPerStreakLevel": 10.
  • Save: Press Ctrl + S and restart your game.
