Take full control of the minecart system in Stardew Valley! This mod allows you to unlock minecarts early, set operating hours, and even charge for travel.

Features

Early Unlock

Unlock all minecarts immediately without completing the Boiler Room bundles

Perfect for new playthroughs or testing

Operating Hours

Enable Adaptive Mode to set when minecarts are available

Configure five time slots throughout the day:
- 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM
- 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- 5:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- 12:00 AM - 2:00 AM

When closed, players see a custom message explaining the system is unavailable

Travel Cost

Set a gold cost for using the minecart system (default: free)

Players must have enough gold to travel

Adds an economic element to fast travel

Configuration

This mod uses Generic Mod Config Menu for easy in-game configuration. All settings can be adjusted without editing files:

Mod Enabled - Turn the mod on or off
Unlock All Minecarts - Bypass Boiler Room requirement
Adaptive Mode - Enable/disable operating hours
Travel Cost - Set gold cost per trip (0-10,000g)
Operating Hours - Check/uncheck each time slot

Requirements

SMAPI 4.0.0 or higher
Generic Mod Config Menu (optional, for in-game config)

Installation

1. Install SMAPI
2. Install Generic Mod Config Menu (optional)
3. Download this mod and unzip it into Stardew Valley/Mods
4. Run the game using SMAPI

Usage

After installation, open the config menu (via GMCM or edit config.json) to customize:

Example Setup 1: Free Unlimited Access

Unlock All Minecarts: ON
Adaptive Mode: OFF
Travel Cost: 0g

Example Setup 2: Realistic Transit System

Unlock All Minecarts: OFF (complete Boiler Room normally)
Adaptive Mode: ON
Operating Hours: 6am-12am only (overnight closed)
Travel Cost: 50g

Example Setup 3: Late Game Convenience

Unlock All Minecarts: ON
Adaptive Mode: OFF
Travel Cost: 100g (small fee for instant travel)
