The Good Pigs
The good pig, what an amazing animal... It's about to be overworked on the farm...
This mod changes and improves several aspects of pig behavior to make them more productive and efficient from the start.
Changes:
- The frequency with which pigs search for truffles now increases based on your relationship with them; each heart slightly increases the chances of them searching for truffles, up to 5 hearts, at which point the probability doubles.
- There is now a 30% base chance that the pig will continue searching for truffles after finding the first one (In the game, after finding the first one, the rest depended on how many hearts you had with the pig; if you had 0 hearts, there was a 0% chance it would search for another truffle).
- The probability of continuing to search for truffles has increased slightly from 66.6% to 70% at 5 hearts.
- Now a pig can find up to a maximum of 6 truffles. (In the game, if a pig fails to find a truffle even once, it stops searching for the rest of the day; this remains the case, but with higher odds. If it finds all 6 truffles, its search is automatically halted.)
- Now baby pigs can also find truffles, but they'll do so 50% slower than adult pigs. (Configurable).
- Now both baby and adult pigs can be fed a Golden Animal Cracker, which gives them a 50% chance of finding two truffles at once when they go digging.
- Now, if you use the “Animals Go Outside in Winter and Rain” mod, which allows animals to go outside in these weather conditions, pigs will be able to find Common Mushrooms and Cave Carrots during rain, and Snow Yams and Winter Rain in winter.
- By default, these weather-dependent loot drops replace truffles. You can disable this option so that only truffles appear in these climates, or you can use the specific option that allows truffles to appear alongside the other loot.
That's all! Just try not to overwork those poor pigs, give them plenty of good grass, and make sure they have a happy, healthy life.
It is not compatible with the Better Truffles mod.
