This mod is part of a larger mod-in-progress called “The Grampleton Maker’s Market” which features a bi-monthly temporary seed shop where players can purchase various traditional and modern Native North American seeds, crops, and recipes.

How to Make the Seed Shop Appear: (Light Spoilers)

Players must have upgraded their farmhouse to include a kitchen to have Joseph’s Seed Shop appear in the Town Square. After Robin has upgraded your house, you will receive a letter from Lewis explaining the Maker’s Market. You MUST have read this letter for the shop to appear.

After the letter has been read, Joseph will set up his shop every 6th, 7th, 20th, and 21st of each month (except winter) in the Town Square. The shop will be open from 9 AM to 6 PM regardless of the weather.

**PLEASE NOTE: The official Grampleton Maker’s Market Letter mod is REQUIRED for this mod to work properly.

Joseph's Seed Shop v 2.0.0 features a variety of crops, seeds, and forgeable items that are always available for purchase, as well as seeds and recipes that only become available as time progresses [years 1 through 6]. Many of these items are available by year only, meaning players must reach annual and seasonal milestones for new content to become available.

---- Important Changes in Version 2.0.0 *SPOILERS*------

- Seeds/Forage and Cooking/Crafting recipes have been split into two different 'shops'. Players must click on Joseph for Seeds and Forage, and click the opposite end of the cart for the "Recipe Catalogue" to appear.

-To produce "Candied Salmon Nuggets" with the Cold Smoker, both "Traditional Cold-Smoked Salmon" and "Maple Syrup" are required in the player's inventory for the correct 'recipe' to trigger.

- For a special cooking recipe, you will need both 9 hearts with Gus and the Stone Grinder crafting recipe for the event to trigger.

Joseph's shop features primarily ancient, modern, and traditional Native American crops, seeds, and recipes (indigenous to the North American continent), but also includes a few crops and recipes from Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.

This mod is compatible with Vanilla and Stardew Valley Expanded maps but hasn’t been playtested with other map-editing mods.

How to Install [v. 2.0.0]:

'Joseph's Seed Shop' is a bundle of 3 different mods:

[CP] Joseph's Seed Shop
[JA] Joseph's Seed Shop
[PFM] Joseph's Seed Shop

All 3 must be installed for the mod to work properly.
To install, please download the bundle and open the file. Inside you should find the three different mod folders. Drag and drop each separate folder into the 'Mods" folder.

*Please note that all future updates to this mod bundle require deleting all 3 mods separately and reinstalling them.

Q: Will shop owners become NPCs?
Plans are being made to add more artisans to the Grampleton Maker’s Market and turn the shop owners into interactable NPCs with their own backstories and heart events. Plans are also in the works to include future items in CC bundles for players who want a more challenging playthrough.

Q: Will more items be added to this mod?
No new items will be added to the shop right now. However, plans are being made to add more seeds, crops, recipes, and items for sale in the future.

Q: Is this mod available in other languages?
Currently, version 2.0.0 is only available in English, but translations are welcome and will be implemented in future updates. **Please get in touch with me if you want to provide a translation, as my translation policies have changed.**

Q: Which Nation is Joseph from?
Joseph is from the Mi'kmaq (L'nuk) Nation, whose homeland stretches across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, parts of the Gaspé Peninsula and southern islets of Newfoundland in Atlantic Canada. Stardew Valley is set in a fantasy world, so I've decided that Joseph will be from the “Wigk’wamik Nation", a fantasy nation *loosely* based on Mi’kmaq culture.
