Adds a new tool, the Dwarvish Mattock. This high-level tool combines the abilities of the pickaxe, axe, and scythe. Perfect for clearing large areas or for mining expeditions!

An ancient dwarvish mining tool!

This tool was designed by the dwarves to cut through tough underground root systems, making quick work of any tree.

Description

Adds a new tool, the Dwarvish Mattock. This tool combines the abilities of the pickaxe, axe, and scythe. Perfect for clearing large areas or for mining expeditions!

In order to unlock the tool, you'll need to do the following:

Visit the volcano, where you will now be able to dig up a new artifact: the remains of an ancient dwarvish mining tool!
After donating the artifact to the museum, Clint will have some exciting news for you, but only if you meet certain requirements:

i. Have fully upgraded both your axe and pickaxe.

ii. Have already earned the Dwarvish Translation Guide.

iii. Have at least 6 hearts with Clint.

iv. Have free space in your inventory.

If you'd rather skip all of that and just have the mattock immediately, you can also obtain it by using the "mattock" SMAPI command.

Unlike other multi-tool mods, the mattock is a single item that functions as multiple different tools simultaneously. It works just like a melee weapon, but is capable of interacting with anything a pickaxe or axe could interact with. As a bonus, it is also capable of collecting hay from grass.
When you obtain the mattock, it is at its maximum level already and cannot be upgraded.
