Tired of predictable mine floors?
Cave Weather adds five dynamic, lore-friendly underground phenomena that can occur once per day, changing the feel, pace, and danger of exploring the mines.
Every day has a chance for a random underground “weather type.” The first time you enter the mines that day, you’ll receive a short message describing the anomaly.
After that, the effects take place seamlessly in gameplay.
📌 Features — 5 Unique Cave Weathers
Each cave weather appears rarely and only one per day.
🍄 Fungal Harvest A gentle, earthy bloom deep below the surface.
Effects:
- Extra mushrooms spawn on the floor around the player when entering a new level.
- Green & Big Slimes occasionally drop mushrooms passively.
- Ambient drifting mushroom spores appear in the air.
Gameplay impact:
- Slightly safer floors.
- Great for foraging & mushroom farming.
⏳ Temporal Flux Time bends. Movement distorts. Reality stutters.
Effects:
- Time flows slower in the mines (configurable).
- Monsters alternate between slow-motion and burst-speed phases.
- Creates unpredictable and chaotic combat moments.
Gameplay impact:
- Time pressure is eased.
- Combat becomes rhythmic and tense.
⚔️ Berserker Day Something in the air enrages the creatures below…
Effects:
- Monsters behave normally until they take damage.
- When hit once, they become berserk:
- +Speed
- +Aggression / aggro detection range
- To compensate, the player gains +Defense during Berserker Day.
Gameplay impact:
- Early hits feel safe—finishing enemies becomes intense.
- Encourages hit-and-run or ranged-style combat.
🌫️ Frenzy Fog A pale fog drifts through the caverns—unnerving but empowering.
Effects:
- All monsters gain a small speed boost.
- A soft fog overlay adds atmosphere.
- The player receives a defensive buff to balance difficulty.
Gameplay impact:
- Slightly faster floors, upgraded reactive combat.
🩸 Bloodthirst Winds You feel a heat in the air… and the monsters do too.
Effects:
- Player suffers reduced defense during Bloodthirst Winds.
- Monsters slowly self-heal over time (small, periodic regen).
- Light red dust particles swirl through the air.
Gameplay impact:
- Longer fights if enemies are ignored.
- Encourages decisive combat and focus fire.
