Dew By Tile is a Stardew Valley challenge modpack built around Tile-Locked Valley, where you unlock the valley one tile at a time.

Your movement is restricted to tiles you have unlocked. Use the Unveiling Glass to buy permanent tile unlocks, plan your routes carefully, and slowly expand through the farm, town, mines, shops, and beyond.

Built on the Morning Dew foundation, the pack keeps the world close to vanilla while adding quality-of-life mods, Kehaan’s custom content, extra machines, recipes, decorations, variants, and cozy gameplay additions.

Dew By Tile is a Vanilla+ Stardew Valley challenge modpack with Tileman-inspired gameplay, SkyBlock-style progression, restricted movement, progression-based tile unlocking, and tile-by-tile route planning.

Tile-Locked Valley Challenge
The main challenge system of the pack. New saves are tile-locked, and you must unlock tiles before you can walk on them. Use the Unveiling Glass to choose your path, expand your playable area, and unlock Stardew Valley one tile at a time.

SkyBlock-Style Tile Progression
Dew By Tile turns Stardew Valley into a careful route-planning challenge. Tiles start cheap, but the cost increases as you buy more. You start with 10 free bonus tile unlocks, and more can be earned through Community Center items and Museum donations.

Morning Dew Foundation
Built on the Morning Dew foundation, with quality-of-life improvements, useful tools, UI improvements, automation options, extra visuals, and light content while keeping the world close to Stardew Valley’s normal progression.

Kehaan’s Custom Content
Includes many of Kehaan’s own Content Patcher and Alternative Textures mods, including machine variants, decorations, paintings, recipes, replica machines, expanded shops, special letters, custom objects, themed furniture, and other small additions.

Quality-of-Life Mods
Includes useful mods like Automate, Auto Forager, Lookup Anything, To-Dew, UI Info Suite 2, Bigger Backpack, Skip Intro, Skull Cavern Elevator, Tractor Mod, and more.

Dew By Tile Quick Start Guide

New saves are tile-locked automatically.
Use the Unveiling Glass tool to unlock tiles.
Right-click with the Unveiling Glass to permanently unlock a tile.
You start with 10 free bonus tile unlocks.
Press L to toggle the tile overlay.
Red tiles are locked.
Green tiles are unlocked.
Paid tile unlocks start cheap, but the price increases as you buy more tiles.
Donating to the Community Center and Museum can earn bonus tile unlocks.
Plan your path carefully and unlock the valley one tile at a time.

Notes

Existing saves are not intended as the main way to play this pack. Dew By Tile is designed around starting a new tile-locked save.
Tile-locked saves stay tile-locked unless the mod is removed.
Multiplayer is supported by Tile-Locked Valley. Each farmer receives their own Unveiling Glass, while unlocked tiles and bonus tiles are shared.
The pack is designed around preset challenge settings.
