This free realistic animated map replacement brings ambient life to Oasis Springs: roaming and resting coyotes, moving road traffic, circling hawks and a drifting hot-air balloon. Tumbleweeds, dust devils, vegetation, cloud shadows, shimmering water, shoreline ripples, creek whitewater and a small animated campsite add movement across the desert.
Map screen only. Playable lots, buildings, households and gameplay are unchanged. These are ambient map animations, not new playable interactions.
Requirements
The Sims 4 Base Game. No additional packs or scripts are required. Install only one Oasis Springs map replacement, including static and cartoon editions. Other worlds' map replacements can be used alongside this one.
Installation
- Close The Sims 4 and extract the ZIP.
- Place Oasis_Springs_Animated_by_Modnest.package in your The Sims 4 Mods folder.
- Remove older or other Oasis Springs map replacements.
- Enable Custom Content and Mods and restart the game. Script Mods Allowed is not required.
If an old map remains visible, close the game, remove localthumbcache.package from your The Sims 4 folder and relaunch. To uninstall, remove this package.
Release and credits
The complete original Patreon attachment is now free to everyone. This download preserves that package unchanged. Container version 1.0.0 is distribution metadata, not a new map build.
