The Sims 4 lets you give birth… and then acts like nothing happened. This mod adds the fourth trimester, a mood-based recovery system that treats vaginal and C-section births differently, reacts to how you play, and lets your Sim’s partner experience it too.

⚠️ BETA — BUG-TESTING PHASE. Stable and fully playable, but I’d appreciate your help testing it. If something isn’t working properly, copy the Postpartum_Log.txt file from your Mods folder and let me know. Or better yet, log any exceptions if you receive a notification or encounter a bug. 💛

✨ What It Does

🤰 Choose Your Delivery: A post-delivery prompt asking whether you had a vaginal birth or a C-section; each has its own symptoms, and a C-section takes longer to heal.

🩹 A Realistic Timeline: ~1 week (adjustable); symptoms vary throughout the fourth trimester (acute at the beginning, persistent at the end).

🏥 Off-site checkup: The pregnant sim actually goes to the doctor (a proper, cancellation-proof rabbit hole) and returns home free of illness.

🚑 Complications: Having sex before receiving medical clearance carries the risk of bleeding, relapse, or infection. It’s significant, but never life-threatening.

💧 Pelvic floor urine leakage: Laughing or exercising can cause a small leak.

🍼 Take it easy: Lifting a toddler or a baby triggers a “I went too far” feeling.

❤️ Your partner feels it: Your partner feels Worried, Exhausted, and Proud, shifting to Worried and Sick when complications arise, and Relieved and Proud when the pregnant character is discharged.

Los Sims 4 te da el parto… y luego actúa como si nada hubiera pasado. Este mod completa el cuarto trimestre, una recuperación basada en estados de ánimo que trata los partos vaginales y por cesárea de manera diferente, reacciona a cómo juegas y permite que la pareja de tu Sim también lo sienta.

⚠️ BETA — FASE DE DETECCIÓN DE ERRORES. Estable y completamente jugable, pero me ayudarás a probarlo. Si algo no funciona correctamente, copia el archivo Postpartum_Log.txt de tu carpeta de Mods y avísame. O mejor aún, registra las excepciones si recibes alguna notificación o encuentras algún fallo. 💛

✨ Lo que hace

🤰 Elige tu parto : una pregunta posterior al parto sobre parto vaginal o cesárea; cada uno tiene sus propios síntomas y la cesárea tarda más en cicatrizar.

🩹 Un cronograma real : ~1 semana (ajustable); los síntomas varían a lo largo del cuarto trimestre (agudos al principio, persistentes al final).

🏥 Chequeo fuera del lote : la sim embarazada realmente sale al médico (un agujero de conejo adecuado y a prueba de cancelaciones) y regresa a casa libre de la enfermedad.

🚑 Complicaciones : Tener relaciones sexuales antes de recibir la autorización médica conlleva el riesgo de sangrado, recaída o infección. Es significativo, pero nunca mortal.

💧 Pérdidas de orina del suelo pélvico : reírse o hacer ejercicio puede provocar una pequeña fuga.

🍼 Tómalo con calma : levantar a un niño pequeño o un bebé genera un estado de ánimo de "Me pasé de la raya".

❤️ La pareja lo siente : el copadre/cónyuge se siente Preocupado, Agotado y Orgulloso, profundizando a Enfermo Preocupado ante las complicaciones, y Aliviado y Orgulloso cuando la sim embarazada recibe el alta.
