I give my Sims a pre-winterfest Holiday for decorating and making baked goods and such. But what else could they do on this day? I think they could...snoop for presents!

This mod adds a brand new Holiday Tradition- Present Hunt!

Everybody knows Father Winter hides presents and trinkets throughout the house before Winterfest, so he can get them under the tree quickly! Don't think too hard about the logistics of that concept. Let's try and find them!

Much like the Egg Hunt tradition, Sims can search a variety of objects to find something special. When they find a present, they'll get a relevant thought bubble letting you know they got something! Crystals will show a diamond, MySims will show a MySim, etc. If you got lucky and got a truly random collectible, which can come from ANY collection, you'll see an Omsimscan Vase and mask icon! And if you found one of Santa's stash, you'll see a chocolate bar.

If they didn't get a present, you'll see a bubble of a present with a mark over it so you know there was nothing in that object they searched.

Except instead of Eggs, they can find:

• Crystals
• My Sims
• Snowglobes (If City Living is installed)
• Posters (If City Living is installed)
• Postcards
• Simmi Capsules (If Snowy Escape is installed)
• Marbles (If For Rent is installed)
• Voidcritter Cards (If Kids Room Stuff is installed)
• Toys of any and all kinds
• Cookies (Santa hides snacks, too! If Get to Work is installed)
• ANY collectible in the game, but very rarely is this the option chosen! (No packs required, but results are obviously limited to owned packs)

Along with a few special options, because Father Winter knows what your Sims like:

• Sims with the "Collector" trait have a much better chance of finding ANY COLLECTIBLE IN THE GAME, totally random
• Sims with the "Foodie" trait have a higher chance of finding cookies, but Cookies are already the most likely to find!
• Sims who "Like Gardening" can find rare seed packets!
• Sims who "Like Handiness" can find upgrade parts!
• "Animal Enthusiasts" can find Animal Clothing! And...some...uh, other stuff. These are both only available if Horse Ranch is installed. You can probably guess what this is, but it's stupid so I won't say!
• Every present option has a higher chance for sims with certain traits in general. Sims with the Frequent Traveler lifestyle can find Postcards more easily. Sims with the Cringe or Geek traits can find Simmie Capsules and Voidcritters more easily. Kids and Childish Sims find more Toys, and High-Level Gemologists find more Crystals. Elders and Sims who Love Snow will find Snowglobes more easily. And a few others!
