🔖【 Module Introduction & Gameplay Notes】↴
This module is a gameplay expansion mod, mainly focusing on the teenage life stage—emotions, school life, and interpersonal relationships. It can be played even without the High School expansion pack.
Currently, there are six modules, one core module, and three optional modules. Apart from the core module (DynamicTeenLife_CORE), which must be installed, the other files can be installed as needed. If you don’t own the expansion packs mentioned above, you can simply skip installing the files that require them. You can match the file names below to install accordingly.
Emotions (File name – Emotions):
The diary adds more usable options, which will affect their character values. Interactions include autonomous behavior.

Emotional mood swings have been adjusted to be less intense, so they will no longer cause death by emotion.
Sims can seek help from a counselor via phone, talk to others about their feelings and mental health, or join a support group.

More After‑School Activities (File name – MoreAfterSchoolActivities):
There are seven new after‑school activities. If you have other expansion packs or Ilkavelle’s Realistic Swimming mod, you’ll have more options. Only the Explorers Club requires the Snowy Escape DLC to complete its daily tasks.
The archive includes two versions: NoTryouts and Tryouts. Choose one to install.
- Explorers Club – Requires Snowy Escape Focuses on outdoor adventure activities, from rock climbing to hiking, snowboarding, or skiing. Sims will also work on repairing equipment. Tryouts can be done via phone. Sims go on short trips every Friday.
- Arts & Crafts Club – Base Game Dedicated to arts and crafts. Sims spend time painting, cross‑stitching, knitting, or fabrication. Tryouts are held at the sketchpad. Sims host an art show every Friday.
- Debate Team – Base Game Focuses on persuasive arguments and research. With Discover University installed, Sims will practice logic, charisma, research, and debate. Tryouts are via phone. Sims hold weekly mock debates on Fridays.
- Performing Arts Club – Base Game Dedicated to performing arts, including playing instruments, singing, acting, and dancing. Sims work on charisma and performance skills. Tryouts are via phone. Sims perform every Friday.
- STEM Club – Base Game For those interested in technology and science. Sims focus on logic, rocket science, and robotics. Tryouts are via phone. Sims hold weekly competitions on Fridays.
- Student Council – Base Game For Sims who want to influence policy and enjoy decision‑making. They work on charisma, logic, research, and debate. Sims must register for elections via phone and campaign among classmates to gain votes. After securing at least one vote, election results can be checked on the phone. If elected, Sims participate in weekly votes on topics important to the student body.
- Swim Team – Base Game For Sims who enjoy swimming and competition. With Ilkavelle’s mod installed, Sims focus on fitness and swimming skills. Tryouts are via phone. Sims hold swim meets every Friday.
Popularity System (File name – PopularitySystem):
Teenagers can now experience the elusive and shifting nature of popularity. Some Sims are more popular than others. When loading your household, Sims are assigned a rank based on various factors, including skills, traits, social groups, fame, followers, after‑school activities, household net worth, and more. Other teens will also have identities. Sims can ask others how popular they are, and if they themselves are popular, they can brag or tease less popular Sims.

In addition, Sims may feel differently about popularity: some will be indifferent, some won’t care at all, while others will care deeply. A Sim’s popularity level is not fixed. Over time, it may be gained or lost due to various factors, including joining or leaving social groups, participating in or quitting after‑school activities, gaining or losing skills, or changes in personality.
Benefits of being popular include a higher success rate in all social interactions, a strong desire to interact with other popular Sims, more invitations, greater chances of friendship and romance success, and easier access to social groups and after‑school activities.
Drawbacks of being unpopular may include social disadvantages in relationships (unless the Sims are relatives or already friends), less success in social interactions, other Sims being less willing to engage with them if they’re not friends, and slight disadvantages in forming romantic relationships. Sims who care about popularity may even interrupt conversations with unpopular Sims to avoid being seen talking to them.
Romantic Life (File name – RomanticLife):
Parents now have a say in whether teenagers are allowed to date. Sims must first ask for dating permission. If parents disapprove but the teen sneaks out, they may get caught. Teens can also choose to forbid dating altogether, or ask their parents to reconsider their stance.

Social Groups (File name – SocialGroups_Cliques):
Sims are now classified into one of five factions:
- Flashy Athletes
- Floaters
- Cool Llamas
- Artist Collective
- Rebels
- Nerd Brains
Sims’ membership in social groups depends on multiple factors, primarily traits, but also skills, school/after‑school activities, likes and dislikes, popularity level, fame, followers, and more.
Joining a social group makes it easier for Sims to improve the skills most valued by that group:
-
Flashy Athletes → Fitness boost
-
Floaters → Small Charisma boost
-
Cool Llamas → Large Charisma boost
-
Artist Collective → Painting boost
-
Rebels → Mischief boost
-
Nerd Brains → Logic boost
Each group has its own rival faction. When a Sim joins, they are assigned a specific rival from that group. Sims can ask other members to join a different social group, though acceptance depends on their standing within that group.
Additionally, Sims can complain about rival groups, explain to others why their own group is the best, and mock their rivals. Sims may feel annoyed when around members of enemy groups, or experience a happiness boost when surrounded by members of their own group.

Sometimes, if Sims meet the requirements, they may be invited to join groups such as Flashy Athletes, Artist Collective, or Nerd Brains. The Cool Llamas, Rebels, and Floaters do not send invitations—Cool Llamas and Rebels simply don’t care whether you join, while Floaters welcome everyone from the start.
Social Life (File name – SocialLife_Entertainment):
Adds more invitations—this module introduces both familiar and new types of invitations for all teens, regardless of whether the High School Years DLC is installed. These events often occur on weekends, or on Friday and Saturday nights.
If you are using the Underground Drugs mod (a.k.a. Breaking Bad) and participate in experience activities, certain effects from that mod will also appear.

Just like in High School Years, your Sims can request permission to go out. If permission is denied, they can sneak out instead.
When returning, there’s a high chance they’ll get caught and reprimanded, though sometimes sneaking back in is successful! For teens who sneak out, disciplinary interactions from the Parenthood pack can be used. (If Parenthood is not installed, those interactions will not appear.)

New Teen Activities: This is a set of rabbit‑hole activity options designed for teenagers. Sims can go on adventures with up to five other teens and will return with emotional buffs.
If you are using the Underground Drugs mod (a.k.a. Breaking Bad) and participate in experimental activities, certain effects from that mod will also appear.

Gossip and Rumors: Two new interactions have been added: “Gossip About Classmate” and “Spread Nasty Rumor About Classmate.”
- Gossip About Classmate will cause your Sim to tell or hear gossip about someone at school (since it can also happen autonomously).
- Spread Nasty Rumor allows your Sim to choose a target to spread the rumor about.
If the target is within range when the rumor or gossip is heard, the relationship with that Sim will be affected. They may also choose to intervene.

Get Famous Add‑on (File name – GetFamous_Addon_AfterSchoolActivities): Adds audition requirements to the Drama Club.
High School Years Add‑on (File name – HSY_Addon_AfterSchoolActivities): Adds tryout requirements to the new after‑school activities. Tryouts can be done via phone or computer (computer only for the eSports Team). In addition, Sims can play chess with Chess Club members and practice football throws with Soccer Team members to form a team.

High School Years Add‑on – Prom (File name – HSY_Addon_Prom): Increases the ability for popularity to influence prom outcomes.
Additionally, certain aspects of this mod include cheat functions. They are located in the game’s cheat menu and can be accessed by Shift + Right‑clicking on your Sim.
